RE NOA2 processing times

I've looked at the current processing times and it says Aug 2017 and Nov 2017.  I am confused as to which one I would fall under as my receipt date for the NOA1 was 10/16/2017.  My fiance and I have not heard any updates and the site just says has been received.   

 

I was also told you can not follow up on your case till after 8 months is that true?

Ok, so... I'm going to assume you are applying for K1. You should be looking at the I-129F rows(yellow ones). It say they are currently processing from 1st August onwards.

 

Your NOA1 is Oct 16, don't you worry, you are in normal processing times. When I say normal, I mean it's not normal, it's just that everyone is experiencing this ridiculous wait time.

 

You can call and follow up on your case now but the reply you'll probably receive from officers is that you are still in normal processing times.

 

You will only get to make an online inquiry when the date - the one that is currently showing 1st August now on the website processing times - reaches beyond your received date. So only when that date reaches beyond 16th Oct, and it could take 2 to 3 months from now. You will also get a relatively better response.

 

Other VJers will be better at giving you advice on call inquires. I've only made online ones.
