So I just got off the phone with a Tier 2 officer. I explained everything to him, I even mentioned that there was discussion online

regarding whether or not this is a system glitch, or legitimate update and that many people have received the same update at once.

So he took my information, I mentioned that I had 2 different receipt numbers (one of which used to bring up an error). He put me on hold for

a couple minutes. When he came back he said that he looked in multiple places (in his system I assume) and it's still showing that my case

is at the California Service Center. He said that the case status thing was most likely an error. He also mentioned

that if my case had been transferred and that if I was scheduled for an interview that I would've received a letter in the mail as well.

I spoke to 2 different Tier 1 officers prior to that as well. The first guy said it was not a glitch, and that my case had infact been transferred, the second the I spoke to right after had no idea what she was talking about.

I'm just going to go back to assuming the online case status system is not reliable and assume that I'm stuck waiting like I was a couple days ago

My 2 cents...

I have not seen any September filers especially after Sept 22 getting approval from CSC on last week and this week. All those approvals from CSC have been for those whose cases were out of processing time (If you see on VJ timeline for I-751 CSC, you see only cases before Sept 22 getting approval). On my personal view, I do think they transferred cases from CSC to local offices but seeing everyone's status getting changed to local office seems glitchy. I do not think Tier 2 officer would have solid answers where our file is, he is probably just following our case status which says received and adding his some personal thoughts.

But we would eventually know in a week or so by A) When pepople gets a notice in mail that their case has been transferred to local office B. Anyone getting interview or approval notice from local office C) USCIS posting some official notice on their web-page. D) I know lots of people have filed service request including me, I'm waiting on their reply because I have mentioned that it says my case is transferred to local office and I would like to know the location of my file.

Same happened to me. I filed in October 2016 and the case status said first "my case was received at the local office on Feb. 26th 2018" and when I just looked right now, it says "my case was received on march 5th 2018". Not sure whats going on but it's getting really annoying. My lawyer called USCIS but I am not sure who he talked to but they basically said I should hear within the next 30-60 days from them.

I was told the same thing from a tier 2 lady.. hmmm..

I went to get our passport stamped again for an additional year and asked the officer as well and he told us vice versa. He said I should be checking the i751 number and not the one on the biometrics letter. We filed March 20th 2017.

I filed in July 2017 and both of my case numbers seem to be working , one says case was recieved on XX date and the other says case was transferred to local office on 5th March. Not sure exactly what to make of it. Either way it looks like some sort of progress.

Hi - wanted to check with you if you got an update, as I filed the same time (July 2017) as you. Did you get an interview after you saw your case was transferred to the local office? I didn't get an interview notice, so I'm still waiting...

Seems like they transfer all the cases to local offices because they have a lot of cases. My case says it’s been there since March? I think , I don’t remember exactly, but I haven’t heard anything for an interview or anything. I was doing my paperwork yesterday to apply for the citizenship and take this out of the way too and finish with papers once and for all.

Hey Guys,

I  also checked the status of my app today and it also showed the same status, "Received at my local office" on Feb 26, 2018. The actual date received on my NOA was July 25, 2017. Does that make any difference? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi. Have you gotten a GC without interview?
