Checked my status today n it says that today my case waz received at my local office.

Removing conditions , i751

What does it mean?

Any experiences?

Pleaze help, cuz we r stressing it out too much.

Not necessarily an interview at all, there's been hundreds of us that have got that status over the past few days, we've had conflicting reports, some people are calling and getting told it's a glitch while others are calling and being told it's due to workloads at the service centres.

Hey Guys,

 

I  also checked the status of my app today and it also showed the same status, "Received at my local office" on Feb 26, 2018. The actual date received on my NOA was July 25, 2017. Does that make any difference? Any thoughts? Thanks!

Filed my i-751 in June 2017, until Feb, 26th my 1st application Number (receipt for i751) was not working and was giving me a "validation error".

On Monday, February 26th I got the same, as a lot of people here, status of "My case was received at my local office". My application Number 2 (from my biometrics, CRI89) was working the whole time and was saying that "my case was received".

 

Just got off the phone with USCIS representative. He told me that Application Number 1 for i751 doesn't matter and I SHOULD NOT be checking it at all, the only number that matters is Applications number 2 (CRI89) and it's processing and if nothing changes in the next 10 months then I can call them again. 

He couldn't confirm if it was glitch or workload, was just repeating that whatever that status said didn't matter because that first number didn't matter and I should "never ever check it again".

That didn't help at all.

I have never seen both service centers transfer thousands of cases to local offices, have you? 

They transfer in between service centers. 

So no, nothing like this before.

There was a time a few years ago when standalone I-130s started being sent to field offices to help clear a backlog.

Theories on this being a glitch are interesting to me. People are noting that the case ID that previously was not active in the system is now suddenly active and reporting that the cases are being transferred. I guess a mass database update of previously unused ID's could have happened with erroneous reporting of file transfers. It is rather strange. It seems to be happening very fast for a very large # of cases. This seems rather unlikely if there were a manual process involved, such as scanning barcodes on file wrappers (folders).

I phoned up and just got the usual Tier 1 on the USCIs fail line yesterday and I gave her the new tracking number and she said when did you apply, December 2016 I said, she was super confused as to her it looked like this newly 'transferred' case was actually a new case, so your theory about this being a mass database update sounds about right.
