NVC confirmed they received my approved petition since 6th February and up till now no case number assign yet. I don't know if anyone is going through the same scenario? Its been 3 weeks today and I have been calling 3times a week even this morning, all they keep saying is they know we are out of the time frame but we still need to wait.

Good luck to you all @waiting561 , @LILI&FERRA and @shexy !

We are actually still waiting for our file to reach the NVC from USCIS Nebraska ... I know it's not quite the same issue you're dealing with. But, I see you've been able to find out about your cases from the NVC and

I also want to find out whether they received our case or not. It was sent from USCIS on February 15th, so I'm assuming it should've reached them by now!

SO, what I want to ask you all is if there is a quicker way to reach a customer representative after calling the NVC number 603 334 0700 ? Thank you! :)

My data point...  I received my case number on 2/27/18.  My IR1 NOA2 (YSC) was on 12/19/17 (I've called a number of times to put it mildly).

Case was "received" in early January but there supposedly were some issues with the paperless processing system.  Virtually all representatives I spoke with seemed surprised that a case number had not been assigned within a couple of weeks and within a month at the latest.

A particularly helpful representative that I talked with in mid-January voluntarily put in a request for a supervisor-review. Responses I got from calling them since then generally boiled down to "system" and "workload" related delays.  Somewhat related that I got more recently was "quality" control issue.

All this time, I was not able to talk to a supervisor during the normal workday hours primarily because of the hold times.  I did finally manage to talk to a supervisor a week before I got the case number.  He offered a somewhat more optimistic forecast than the representatives I've talked with before and lo and behold I got the case number soon after.  Probably a coincidence since a supervisor was supposedly already on the case mid-January.

I get a feeling that I am an outlier since this issue doesn't seem to affect that many people on this forum, at least based on number of postings.   Hopefully, this is not the new normal at NVC

Shexy,

I called in after 7:30 PM Friday.  After explaining my situation, I asked about making an appointment to speak with a supervisor thinking all along that supervisors were there only during "regular" hours.  It turned out that supervisors were there even after regular hours and I was able to speak with one.  Hope that helps.

My case was sent to NVC on Jan 12

Received on Jan 18

Sent to a supervisor on Feb 9

And i still havent been assigned a case number. I call everyday and they're still telling me that it hasn't been put into their system. Even though its past due.

I was told by an agent that it can take 4-6 weeks from the date it was sent to the supervisor.

If I Don't get my case number by Monday I will call and ask to speak to a supervisor. My case has been at the NVC since Jan 18. And reviewed by a supervisor on Feb 9.
