EAD - August 2017 Priority Date Filers

Given my EAD (I-765) priority date of August 28, 2017, I am now on 183 days and counting. Is it just me or is this WAY outside of normal processing times?! I submitted 2 service requests which have not been assigned according to the USCIS case status site. The last info pass session I went to on Feb 23, 2018, the officer mentioned that the case worker from the NBC has my file at home and is working on the case from home. I am now working on getting in touch with my congressman to step in. Am I the only one still waiting on this from way back in August?! Any suggestions?

August 28, 2017: Priority Date

September 5, 2017: AOS Notice of Action

September 8, 2017: Biometric Notice of Action letter 

September 29, 2017: Biometric done

January 26, 2018: Infopass inquiry at field office - was told nothing useful

February 16, 2018: Service request made. Hasn't been assigned.

February 23, 2018: Infopass inquiry at field office - officer emailed NBC regarding urgency of EAD

March 2, 2018: EAD in production on day 186 (e-notification) :D 

March 7, 2018: EAD mailed out (e-notification) :D 

March 12, 2018: EAD RECEIVED!!!

this has been a fairly common issue... take a look at the August 2018 forum...

today marks 204 days for my mothers and fathers EAD's as well... we sent the app on 08/07/17... hang in there! The backlogs are crazy

204?! Goodness! My savings are running dry at this point. How do they expect ppl to survive financially if this is how long it takes them?!

guys good news!!! My moms EAD renewal finally got approved JUST now after 204 days. PD was 08/07/17... no word yet on my fathers even though we sent them at the same time (it could be because we did get a RFE this past Friday for his I 485..so maybe that's why)

 

good things will start happening to all of yall as well!

Wow. Congrats! This gives the rest of us hopes that maybe, just maybe it's just around the corner as well. Had your congressman or ombudsman reached out as well? Any expedition requests submitted as well? Just trying to gauge what actions might have helped push it through.

the only course of actions I took where raising SR' request..... and they always came back saying " due to backlogs not related to my case , it will take a while for a decision" not in that wording but you get my point...

 

all I can advice you to do is , keep having faith. sooner or later you will get a  decision to!

guys, another good news... at 8 PM eastern I got another email about my FATHERS EAD... JUST GOT APPROVED AS WELL :) I am so happy!! I thought that since a RFE was mailed out for his AOS on 2/23/18, that it would put his EAD on hold..but NOPE.. RFE evidently do NOT affect EAD's!!
