Afternoon Brian,

ye you can take your phone, people were openly using it when I was interviewed 6 weeks ago. MY wife came with me incase she was required but she wasn't, and sat in the waiting room people watching. The Orlando office is a bit hectic and wasn't a fun experience (I waited over 2 hours, because the previous person was late for their interview).

Congrats!!! I can't wait for my journey to be over :-)

How long did people have between interview and oath ceremony?

Nervous for today! Getting all my docs together. Only thing I can't find that I might want to bring is my own birth certificate but I have my passport so I think I should be fine.

My interview was today. They could not make a decision today as my birth certificate from india does not have my name on it. During my I-485 time they requested an affidavit from my Father stating the relationship and my full name. Now for n400 to pass I need to provide birth certificate with my name on it.. or a document saying it doesnt exist. I was born in 1975 in a village in India, no name was given to me until a month later (Indian tradition). Not sure how i am going to get the document needed. Anybody had issues like this?

I passed the civics test and everything else without any issue.

Went to the field office today it was a ZOO...

They apparently schedule oath ceremonies there at the same day/time as interviews so if you are scheduled between 1-2 you may experience some of  the following:

Parking lot full. Took about 45 min to get through "security"

AC was broken in the side of the building they do interviews in (it was 90 out today!)

The IO was a bit aggressive at first, but seemed to relax as the interview went on.

She tried to ask 7 questions, but my lawyer stepped in and said "we got 6 right already"

They asked about taxes and took my 2017 transcripts

They asked what does the oath of allegiance mean

Interview done, recommended for approval

Sorry I forget the 6 questions they asked...
