Evening, no. I am still waiting for a date. I called USCIS yesterday and they advised it hasn't been scheduled, and it can take upto 120 days before a decision can be made. After the whole fiasco from start to finish, I kind of expect them to take the 120 days.

Hi guys.

Question for you both...

Did you guys apply for citizenship while your I-751 is/was still pending?

No. I didn’t apply for I-751. I applied on 5 year rule. Been on greencard since 2004

Hi guys,

I have I-751 pending, but my spouse could not go with me when I went for naturalization interview, so my N-400 could not be approved. The IO said that he will schedule an interview for ROC and then he would be able to approve both cases. We're still for the interview date for my I-751 case which I don't think it will be any time soon. We'll see.

Hi KitKatTH,

I went through the same thing.  I had my N400 Interview on Dec 8 which i had passed but a decision could not be made since my spouse could not go with me.  They finally scheduled my ROC interview which was 3/29. The officer told me she would approve both cases. I did not get another notification until 4/24 to say that i was approved and also in line for Oath ceremony. On 4/25 i got another notification to say my oath ceremony has been scheduled for 5/8.

When did u have your Naturalization interview?

I went for the interview on 20th Apr. Still waiting for them to schedule me a date for ROC interview. We'll see how long it takes. Will keep you posted.

By the way, congratulations on your approval! You must feel so relieved. :-) Where do you have to go for Oath Ceremony? Please let me know how it goes. :-)

hey guys, I have my interview next Monday. Two quesions:

* Can I use my phone in the waiting room or should I bring a book? I know the biometrics place doesn't allow phones, but I went to the field office to get a replacement GC and they allow phones.

* Should I bring my wife with me? I wasn't planning on it but confused about some of the replies above suggesting they take a dim view of people who come without spouse.

June 2012: Married

Sept 2012: Wife (USC) moved to UK

May 2014: Moved to us on CR1 from DCF in London

April 2016: Applied to remove conditions

May 31st 2016: Biometrics App

Nov 9th 2016: Received RFE

Jan 2017: Application Approved, GC Sent

April 2017: USCIS supply GC tracking, UPS say GC delivered Jan 2017, but was not received.

April 2017: Apply for replacement

May 2017: Replacement Biometrics

Jan 24th 2018: Replacement Received

Jan 25th 2018: Applied for Citizenship

Feb 22nd 2018: Biometrics

April 2nd 2018: Interview Scheduled for May 14th

May 14th 2018: Interview - passed

May 15th 2018: USCIS website updated to say approved

May 16th 2018: Oath Ceremony scheduled for May 23rd

Yes, you can use your phone in the waiting area. Just need to put it on silent. Did you apply for N-400 under 3 years rule? If you did, it would be wise to bring your wife with you. :-)

I did! Moved in 2014, but couldn't apply right on the three year anniversary because USPS lost my green card.

Ok cool! I've asked her just in case. Do they just want to see her there or will they ask her questions?
