Hi Guys,

At what time of the process the beneficiary receive the A number?

The petition I-130 for my wife was approved on January 22nd and forwarded to NVC for future process. I contacted NVC and receive the NVC receipt number and invoice over the phone,

The parer back packet is to be mailed out this week as the said. I asked for the A number of my wife and NVC stated that I should call USCIS.

Can anyone makes it clear for me at what step the A number is issued.

I believe the A Number is needed to file the AOS

Thanks

An A number is not needed for a petitioner or a joint sponsor to complete and submit the Affidavit of Support.

Hi RYAN,

Could you please lock at the part and page 3 of the AOS?

The question is still unanswered. What step of the process do we receive it please. Just want to know anyway

Sincerely

Hi the A- number is your Alien Registration number you receive after your interview. In your welcome letter there should be  your  NVC case number, beneficiary ID number and Invoice ID number.

Im excited to mention that i received my interview date for  EMBASSY in Johannesburg yesterday. Only 2 months after NVC received my AOS forms and documents. )Plus there was a 'checklist" delay of 3weeks because i had to send them my Police clearance certificate also

At the very latest, the A number will appear on the green card when it is arrived.  Before that, if you don't have it, simply enter zeros in the spaces.

I haven't got a clue what the above means.

Any Alien registration number aka a-number recieved before the immigrant Visa means nothing.  Occassionally an NOA2 will have an A number on it.  Dont worry about it.
