Weird message on Montreal's message

In my case, it was Vancouver that needed the reason and they were the ones that commented about people wanting to transfer for a faster interview. Montreal would not initiate the transfer until Vancouver accepted and requested my file.

Also I mentioned before that I had hoped I didn't bump anyone's Vancouver interview because of my transfer, but when I went, there was an empty K appointment. They take up to 4 K appointments a day and on my interview day, there were only 3 people there for K visas.

I'm sure that Montreal would be happy to have one less case to deal with. :P

Ahhh... wow, all this time I thought it was Montreal that was having cases pile up, and ALSO ''getting wise'' to people who wanted to try to transfer! But that makes a lot more sense that Montreal wouldn't care if someone wanted to transfer...so they'd have one less case to have to deal with, with their backload, lol. Not that just one would make a lot of difference, but I guess to Vancouver it would seem like a lot if everybody started trying to do it!

Cut into Van's golf and ski time!!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Sorry to cut in, but was just curious, I live in Victoria BC, so do you think they will schedule me for my interview in Vancouver, or do you think I'll have to apply for a transfer as well when the time gets near?

My case number starts with MTL so I assume that means I'll be in the for waiting list at Montreal too.... :(

Liz my dear,

Same phone number, then 1, then 3, then 4. ONLY from Monday through Friday, 2p.m. to 4p.m. MTL time. Hope this helps. And remember, always, always, always be nice and polite with these people.... I know it's hard and frankly sux (at least for me since I'm the center of the universe) , but that's how the cookie crumbles.

Good luck, L.

APPARENTLY my Fiance put the wrong address!!!!!

I moved out March 30th and since we filled out the paperwork at the end of march and mailed it out the beginning of April, he put that address!!!!

Sigh, I told him to just sign the forms I filled out but noooooooo he sent in his version!

And if you all go visit my profile, you'll see that he also failed to send in evidence except for the one passport stamp... It's like he doesn't want me to move there! Yet he's the one that bitches and moans all the time that I'm not there

He's in sooo much trouble tonight!!!!

I now understand the "dumba$$" comment in the PM ;)

Well, now that you have gotten that all figured out, hopefully you'll get the packet soon *crosses fingers*
