Yeah we did it last friday. And no we didn't need that because it is still valid. Look at the instruction for the I-693 form.

But they sent u a standard paper for the interview where it says you bring I-693. All I did is took my DS-3025 and the instruction page of I-693 in case they say that I require the form -639 so I show them that it is not required. But the lady in the interview was professional and knows what to do well and she said it to me by herself that I don't require the form as my DS-3025 still valid.

Thank you!!! In my AOS package, I already submit my DS 3205 form and didnt make a copy of it @.@ Hope they dont lose it.

I just returned home from my AOS interview. I did not submit I-693 after reading on this forum that if your medical for the K-1 was less than a year old that you don't need to.

I was given an RFE because I didn't have the I-693. I asked about it and mentioned how on the forum people were saying the above, that you don't need it if you did a medical for the K-1 within a year of applying for AOS. He explained that isn't true at all, because the medical for the K-1 is for the state department records and not usable by USCIS. He had my DS-3025 and looked over and it confirmed it all good and filled out appropriately. He said it didn't matter, and that I still need the medical. I can bring the DS-3025 to the medical to get credit for the vaccination stuff being done but he was adamant that the medical and the I-693 were required.

What??? This is so confusing~~ I read the I-693 form instruction and K1 with (i) medical exam completed within 1 year (ii) without Class A medical condition or Class A medical condition waived and (iii) with a complete DS 3205.

This doesn't make sense T_T

I'm sorry to hear. Then what's next for you?

I am unfortunately in the same boat as Talmanes. I had my interview last week and was RFE for lack of 693.I pointed out that my K1 medical DS-3025 was complete and valid at time of filing but he wouldn't budge and I now have to go fork over $$$ to a civil surgeon for a medical. I could make an appointment with a supervisor and try to fight my case but that will simply delay everything further with no guarantee of success. My wife just wants me to have the medical done and get it over with.

Good luck

FYI - Went to my local MD Now walk in and they do the immigration medical for $325,I had a $75 off coupon so $250. It'll be 3 visits, first one today was blood draw, urine, usual measurements. they were fine with my vaccination record but told me I needed a tdap which they gave me and also a TB skin test which I'll get checked in a couple of days and as long as its negative I won't need another chest x-ray. Should have the i-693 complete in a week or so.
