Hi there! Happy Monday everyone. 

We just got word that the HCM embassy received our file from NVC and we are now waiting to receive Packet #3.

Can anyone describe to me the day that they received it? My finance has a mailbox but it's rather small. I.E I don't know how big/if they bend such a document. 

With something important as this, do you need to be home to sign etc?

NVC said embassy received it on Feb 15. 

How long should it usually take? It's been super quick up until this point in time.

What is the procedure once the embassy receives the info from NVC? Do they research into you/make a decision before sending out your packet #3?

Update your profile and indicate what visa you are petitioning for, K1 or IR1/CR1. It helps.

 

If K-1, Packet 3 is just a one-page letter, with link to download the K1 instructions. The same doc can be viewed below. It does not have to be signed for. If the consulate received on 2/15, give it one more week and if you don't receive it by then, contact them via the online inquiry form on their website.
