I was under the impression that the EAD renewal is free with AOS... I don't think you should have been paying for that. And surely a DL is no more than $20

Well our lawyer says we have to pay them every time it expires. What is AOS? I am pretty sure our lawyer has been screwing us at every turn.

Okay yes once the AOS is complete it includes EAD but until then it expires every year and takes 6 months to renew.

Application for renewal is free if you have a pending I-485. Page 24 of I-765 instructions states that a renewal EAD fee is not required for AOS applicants:

 

4. (c)(9) or (c)(16) Any current Adjustment of Status or Registry applicant who filed for adjustment of status on or after July 30, 2007, and paid the appropriate Form I-485 filing fee. If you file Form I-765 separately from your Form I-485, you must also submit a copy of your Form I-797C Notice for Form I-485, as evidence of filing Form I-485 on or after July 30, 2007, and payment of the appropriate form filing fee. If you did not pay the appropriate Form I-485 filing fee because your filing fee was waived or you are exempt from paying it, you must pay the Form I-765 filing fee or request that the filing fee be waived.

 

So do you have a pending I-485 right now? If not, apologies, I misunderstood. If you do, then your lawyer is absolutely screwing you. Did he take the filing fee in cash, too?

There is no charge to renewal her work card, and drivers license renewal is cheap. Unless your paying a lawyer to send in for the work card renewal.

Make Info Pass at Houston office and ask then when interview will be rescheduled.

Yeah our lawyer failed to mention that the EAP renewal could be done for free by us. 

Guess that's why he's a lawyer.

 I was waiting 1 year for new interview on Nov 2018. But now no any reply , I am not sure this is because government shutdown....
