My fiancé has to submit a package of paperwork to his Embassy before he can even schedule the interview.  They want an Affidavit of Support signed by the petitioner.  Does this mean I have to spend the $84.00 to send it by FedEx, or is scanning it sufficient?  Of course, we intend to bring the original to the interview.  I guess I am asking, wet or dry signature...

You're going to get all sorts of answers.... from "Yes, scans are fine, it worked for us" to "No, it says original signature required"...

I sent originals, $90 for three day FedEx including all originals and W2's/pay stubs/ect... my own opinion, why risk them delaying your visa potentially over something like that? Spend the money and send the original with 'wet' signature.

I agree, my but fiancé doesn’t.  Maybe he doesn’t want to see me as badly as I want to see him.  I want to sent that by FedEx today, but he wants to get specific instructions to save the $80.  I say “the heck with” the $80.  If that $80 could save us weeks or a month, why not?

That's exactly my point. I get it, process isn't cheap and it gets more expensive come AOS and all; but as you just stated, why take the chance of possible delays. I'd just make sure to state that clearly that $80 can save a lot of time and just ship it.

We needed an updated I-864 for my wife's interview.  My attorney told me that it had to be a wet signature, so I spent the 80 bucks to get it to Taiwan in 3 business days.....

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

RapidVisa is actually not a bad source of info, but take anything from them with a grain of salt because they never take any responsibility when they do make a mistake. ;)

A wet signature on the I-134 is preferred. People have been approved fine with just a photocopy, but there are some COs who prefer to see a wet signature. There was a memo sent out about the I-864 (affidavit of support for an immigrant visa or AOS) about a year ago saying that signed photocopies should be accepted, but no word on the I-134 directly. So if you want to be certain, go with a wet signature here....Egypt's COs have not known to be very lenient on anything in the first place. =.=

Hi there, can I ask how you received this information? I am waiting to hear from the US Embassy in Cairo. They have yet to give us any instructions about the K1 Visa. They received my case on 5/7/18.
