I got in contact with one of the senators in CA regarding my case. Had to sign a release form and send it back via mail. My case is now outside normal processing time and I'm having enough with USCIS. Senator said they will help me so will see how much that helps. Anybody has experience with that?

Guys please share your experience with address change during the process?

I'm in about to change our address in a few days, who knows what receipt number should I choose to fill out the form, I-751 or CRI one?

ROC -"CSC"

Package sent: 07/31/17

Applied to have conditions removed May 2017. Case was sent to CSC, but i discovered that if I check my receipt number, and simply replace the WAC with EAC, it says the office recieved my case April this year. I wonder if that means it's now in Vermont, and if that's a good thing..

Any thoughts?

That means that the person in VSC that has the same number as you has that status.  Your case number will not change.  The case number goes according to the service center and the numbers are based on a code that includes the fiscal year, week the case was received, the type of petition it is, etc.  The number you looked up belongs to someone else.

I used my I-751 receipt # to fill out the address change form online. When i  filled out the address change online (received email verification saying my address change was processed), USCIS still sent my green card to my old address (Not sure why, but that was the case). Erring on the side of caution, it might be a good idea to do it online and  call to verify address has been changed by an officer or a USCIS rep.

Well..darn. A part of me hoped it went to Vermont. I've heard they process everything quicker. I just hope the wait isn't too much longer.

Did my biometrics shortly after applying for ROC, and haven't gotten any RFE. I just have the standard "You're case was received at local office"..

Omg, that's crazy, that's what I'm afraid of. Thanks for sharing, I will do with I-751 then, since it's not showing an option for CRI and call them after to confirm.

I contacted my local Senator and they sent them my signed form and they said this morning on the phone that it could take up to 2-3 weeks for them to contact USCIS because they have so many inquires for immigration cases that are outside normal processing time. They also said after they contact USCIS they have 6 weeks to get back to the Senator with a reason why the case is delayed. Will keep you updated if my case ever gets approved.

I think we can say with absolute certainty that CVS would be much quicker at approving immigration applications than CSC LOL!

Hmm, you filed in April 2017 and you live n New Mexico, i.e. processed by CSC? Sounds like my wife's case. :)

Thanks for reporting this news. Seems like a good omen for all of us CSC filers.

No problem! Actually, were living in Alabama then so we filed with VSC...case was transferred sometime in July/August to CSC since we moved back West. Maybe that put us at the top of the pile?!

EDIT: Looking at the approval letter that came today, the address listed on it is Vermont. I'm 100% certain we received a letter that said our case was sent to California though. Maybe that's just the catch-all address.

Hi all,

My status was also changed on 5/21 saying they ordered me a new card and it will be mailed to the address I provided! Things are definitely moving.

My last status was changed on 4/9 saying it was received by the local office.
