Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, most go through what you did went through. I believe that was a stokes interview. But the best part is where you and your partner came together on this and proved them that you both are genuine

Stokes interview? What does that mean?

I know the officer for the AOC interview told us afterwards he was specifically put on cases for suspected immigration fraud. The reason why we were flagged is because I'm much older than my husband.

Whenever my husband gets his next infopass for the i-551 stamp, I don't have to go up according to today's immigration officer. He is the one who said that my husband should specifically ask for him next time.

Might be a RFE. My approval letter finally came yesterday and the envelope looks like this, with the statue of liberty, as others had previously reported:mailpieceImg.jpg.939e687e3abe1697f2b60ea402a62b37.jpg

Keep us posted. I hope it isn't a RFE.

I too received notification that my case has been received at my local office. March 2017 Filer.

I only found out by chance as I was looking to book an info pass appointment as my extension letter (or extension) expires 03/14.

Even though I am setup for email or text notifications I did not receive any. Hopefully this is progress as I was eligible for N400 December 12th 2017.

Does anyone on this site have any clarity on the process of service center to local office. In the past this is normally a good thing...right?

All advice and experiences are appreciated!

You could have applied for citizenship while your ROC was pending, as long as it was 90 days prior to your 3-year green card anniversary.

Just got it. Not sure what this means in terms of if they are working on the application or not. Does anyone maybe know of someone who got this same letter and what happened after this?

At least i now know i wont receive biomtrics notice. That was always up in the air for me.

It's USCIS language for:

"We just woke up from our little nap, and will now start processing your application"!

Unbelievable!

Yes, this notice is normal.

It really doesn't mean much.

It only means that your file was moved from one location to another location right within the VSC processing building.

It does not mean that your file was moved to another city.

It does not mean anything with respect to whether or not you will have to appear for an interview.

It doesn't mean you will receive a 10 year green card any time soon.

You most likely will receive your green card in 12 months from application, or in August 2018.

The stamp you are referring to, is it I-551? What if your extension expires before you get the stamp?

Yes, I'm referring to I-551. You should bear in mind that your status will continue (legitimate) resident as long as it will take for USCIS to make a decision on your case. So your extension expiring doesn't really mean anything. However, to renew your driver's license,  proof your status to your employer and travel outside the US, you should book an info pass appointment or walk in to your local office to get the i-551 stamp, again if there is no (denial) decision on your case. You have all the right to do so. In fact, you should do it.. good luck

Mid feb 2017 filed for 2nd card , after I went for finger prints I got cri89 number and stuck since, hopefully good news soon :) 1E6A4BD5-806B-41B5-A3FE-900A600D632B.thumb.jpeg.4eb8920bc75418079cc4a1e8e4d23a1e.jpeg

You need to try the input for the I-751, rather than the CRI-89. ;)

I've heard that the CRI-89 has pretty much been abandoned. Mine is also stuck to Case Received, and I've been approved after a few movements in Ferbuary, March, and then the approval in April.
