Thanks for your answer. I would advice to use your husband impending shipping date as a reason to write your senator they really respect service men, and the fact he's shipping soon should be enough reason to expedite his case. Give it a shot, find out who are your senators and sent that letter.

I hope everything works well for you and your husband. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Cheers

Oh god, how do I find out who the senator is? Is there only one senator per Area or city? Do I call USCIS to find out or google it?

This morning I got an automated email stating that they are still looking into my case and I dont need to do anything, whats interesting is that in the email they said last action on my case was taken on March 29th, however this is not reflected in the USCIS my accounts page or the case status page. You can also see in the USCIS My account screenshot that it says if action is not taken on my case by March 28th, to contact USCIS, so it almost seems like they did some small change on the case so they can say there was action taken on the case. Whats everyone's thoughts?

Wait until midnight-4am and get onto the USCIS website to schedule an infopass appointment at our local USCIS. Bring your expiring  extension letter and your  green card. Ask for an i-551 stamp in your passport.
