I also believe so - case are still in VCS or CSC. At least the most of them. They probably have been moved, from  "reviving room" to  a "waiting to be reviewed" room. But yes still there.

About interview... It's hard to believe they will be able to interview that many people.. Besides, to have an interview  - the case has to be sent to your Local (Field) USCIS Office.... But - let's wait and see :)

I think the best approach might be to just file the N400 to speed things up when you are eligible.

This is all very confusing. Few questions for you -

1.) So which number should we check with? I-751 or CR-89? Are you saying that by creating a USCIS account you can check both numbers. - I believe CR-89 is still more "accurate" check up. The "noew system or whatever we are having right now "recognizes and I-751 receipt #. But as I've mentioned before - I'd go with CR-89.

2.) Why did they give you a one year travel BUT ONLY six months EAD? - I'm not sure I'm following you...An Extension Letter extends BOTH,  travel and employment authorization, for 1 year

 .

I think the best approach might be to just file the N400 to speed things up when you are eligible. - I'm thinking about that as well. I have my son in Part 5 of my I-751. And I'm afraid if i apply for N-400, they might "forget' him or something.... I'm eligible to apply in June, 2018. Son will need to re-new his I-551 stamp in July. So, we are planning to go to our local USCIS Office and  kill two birds - to re-stamp his passport and to figure our what happens to his ROC if I apply for N-400.

I will need a I-551 stamp as well, sometime around September. So if I'm lucky enough - I hope to get the stamp during that July Infopass... to kill three birds actually :)

Gave me 1 year travel extension , 6 month work permit but also stated that I should be receiving some news by then ( dont recall if he just said "news " or "good news " ) . He didnt tell me anything about any delays as most of you might have been informed."

yesterday an officer at info pass told me that we should check  I-751 by CSC (or VSC) processing time. So far it's 19 month for CSC. Most likely everybody who applied last 6 or so months will get interview, but our cases still at CSC/VSC.

i can hardly image that they will interview everyone. if they do, then the processing time would be for several years...

Still not following.

I'm looking  at my son's I-551 stamp right now -  it has:

1. A#

2.  The date the  stamp was given

3.  The date it's expired (a year from date it was given)

4. Written by Officer under the stamp - " I-751 pending and under CF2 category (class of Admission in the US i think),

5. USCIS Office location

I don't even see how travel and employment authorization can be separated by length of validation if I-551 stamp  serves as a green card.

Honestly I don't know how they going to do that. But officer said so far I-751 cases that went through Denver office (with interview of course) has been at 18 months time frame.

My husband joined the Military and leaves in the end of April for 4 months. I hope they don't schedule us for an interview otherwise we have a problem.

Really frustrating. I checked on the tracker app and it looks like that a lot of cases after me ( October 2016 ) were approved or got an RFE

To all inquiring about 1 year travel , 6 month work permit... please see the document. It says in blue "evidencing PR for one year. "

Employment authorization "valid until 9 14 2018 " ... exactly 6 months after March 15 2018, when I had infopass.

initially it used to be  CR 89 , but from what Ive seen in many cases looks like "i 751 " receipt number is the one to follow... you can check multiple case numbers . I put random case numbers as well , 24 some before my number so as to monitor their progress. But it seems they are approved in random order.

I sent an image before I quoted post. Please refer to that for 2nd question.

You are given  6 months. For both. Not a year.

That wording in blue (it can be in red as well) "Upon endorsement serves as temporary I-551,..blah-blah....  for one year" - it's NOT a Travel Authorization. This statement is ALWAYS there! Regardless! Such a form of a stamp.  But yes,  it's up to IO at USCIS office to give a resident I-551 stamp for any time shorter than a year. It can be 1,3, 6 or whatever months IO believes would be reasonable. That's why  "Issues Date/Valid Until" are there.

Here is the link

https://www.cbp.gov/sites/default/files/assets/documents/2017-Nov/carrier-information-guide-english.pdf

p.39 - examples of I-551  stamp.

Once again, don't get me wrong - i have no intention to hurt you or something... just trying to explain that I-551 IS a green card. And it can not divide or limit your ability to travel and work. You are eligible for both, for the same period of time, as long as your stamp tells "Valid Until"...

Anyway, if by 09/14/18 you don't have your green card , I'd not recommend to leave the US,  regardless of whether you agree with me or not - you won't make it  back without another I-551 stamp.
