If our case has been received to our local offices, does it mean we are going for an interview?

God has perfect timing; never early, never late. It takes a little patience and it takes a lot of faith but it's worth the wait. ❤️

I was on a K-1 Visa on 2014.

I'm 18 months and still waiting. Filed Sept 2016. I also got the case at local office on Feb 25th. I made a case inquiry yesterday since they told me to contact them by March 27 if I didn't receive a notice. No reply yet.

i think those of us who had "case received in local office" update were all told to contact uscis after march 27/28 if not heard from uscis. i believe that is just the wording uscis has been using for years, especially one didnt have to wait for such a long time in old days. i dont think those of you sent in inquiry will get any meaningful feedback, i really hope i am wrong

I agree totally with you that nothing is probable going to happen with the inquiries. However, if many people do it, USCIS may decide to stop putting that wording on the case statuses and try harder at telling people the truth. Mind you, "people" have paid a lot of money for USCIS to string them along with fake promises. It's time to change what has worked in the past cause it's not working with the workload they have now.

i really doubt it. uscis has implemented new programs/systems/softwares for years,  those programs/systems/softwares dont really "talk" to each other well,  thats why people working there cannot get straight answers for us, besides we are new immigrants,  no one really listens to us at all

Let me know how doubting everything they do works out for you.

I'll let you know how being proactive works out for me. 😊

Yes. They changed the processing times to be more realistic. Sept 6, 2016 today. Tomorrow it could change to Sept 7. It does change almost every day if not every second day.

To repeat again:  "Received in local office" only means files were transferred from one location to another location within CSC or VSC.

And, no one should actually want their file to be transferred to an office near them, because the processing time there for I-751 goes up to 48 months.

So I called awhile ago and probably spoke to a Tier 1, and she said that my case has been transferred to my local office. And I asked her if its not in CSC anymore and she said correct. Idk if they’re just reading what’s on the computer update same as in uscis case status online or whatnot.

I am November 2015 I-751 filer at Vermont Office (28 months + pending).

On February 27, 2018 our case finally appeared on both https://my.uscis.gov/account/applicant and  https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/logon.do, stating " February 26, 2018 We received your case" on the first website and "Case Was Received at My Local Office on February 27, 2018" on the second website.

I checked 500 cases before and 500 cases after our case number. All visible 147 applications are pending for 28 months; all are I751Vermont Office filers from November 2015; all have just been logged in (February 25, 2018 - March 27, 2018 about 1-20 cases per day), with exactly same messages on both websites.

Submitted all of this information to our lawyers and Congressman to review and investigate.

Any November 2015 Filers there? Looking for people from those 147 pending applications. PM to join forces.

Not necessarily. I had the case received at local office message early this month and then got an approval notice yesterday. No interview or RFE request.

The Tier 1 officers are totally unreliable. A Tier 2 officer told me my case is still at CSC even though I got the transfer update. Your case is most likely still at CSC waiting to be looked at..
