I've never requested a waiver fee and paid for my case and bio, that's odd... On regular uscis site I've never seen any fee waiver statement regarding my case only on this new site I tried today. I know some people don't pay for it and get it waived, but not in my case...

What I am saying is the waiver wording applies to the CRI-89 which we never paid for, because we never actually applied for a CRI-89; it just appeared automatically.

Well... I checked a new uscis link and it's looks for me like Uscis is playing football with my case))) New link showing 09.23.17 like a date of receiving  my case instead of 09.22.17 with message " We received your case and waived the filing fee", but I had been at a biometrics  appointment at October 2017.  Than it showing 2 case transfers on 02.25 and 02.27 instead of 02.26.18 and  03.04.18 on an another link. Submitted date for all changes is 02.25.18:blink: :jest:Good thing is now I can send a case inquiry if I  don't get any notice on mail by 03.29.18

UPD: I just noticed comment about "waived the filing fee" and CRI-89. it's make sense. Thanks!

I had no idea that other URL existed. That's ridiculous and duplicative. I'm glad to know it exists even though it really doesn't say anything helpful. Dunno what that is about waiving filing fees...because I sure as heck paid it! Ugh.

So, they actually aren't redundant.  I just spent my lunchbreak going through the different sites.

The Case Status Online Site (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do) is just that: a case status tracker, which is all we were able to do online until recently at all.

The USCIS MyAccount Site (https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/) is a much broader platform.  It allows you to pay fees, change your address, and even file some forms online, including the N-400.  Right now it is limited to only a few forms (https://www.uscis.gov/file-online), but they will be helpful for a lot of us in this forum.

My personal assumption is that they will eventually move to mostly online filing.  It makes no sense to have us save pdfs of our bank statements, etc, print them out, and send them to USCIS, only to have them spend a ton of time scanning them in.  We could have just send them one giant pdf to make everyone's lives easier.  However, I use eventually in the very long term sense of the word here, because when has USCIS ever chosen to do something that would make sense or make everyone's lives easier?

Anyhow, there are definitely differences in the information received from both websites.

For the I-751 Receipt Number from the NOA I have:

From the Case Tracker Site - The notice about the case being received at my local office on February 27 and the case history showing the request I sent for a non-received notice.

On the USCIS MyAccount Site - The notice about them receiving my case on December 14th and my fee being waived (which it is not - known glitch, but I thought it useful to specify that I have not actually used a fee waiver), the same update for February 25th and February 27th.  No mention of the request I submitted.

For the CRI-89 Biometrics Receipt Number I have:

From the Case Tracker Site - The your case was received December 14th standard message.  That'a all.

On the USCIS MyAccount Site - The notice about them receiving my case on December 16th (new date...) and my fee being waived and no further updates.  Oddly, the case information bar at the top says it was submitted December 15th, though all of the other sites and tracking numbers say the 14th; only this one lists the 15th and 16th.

I am seriously starting to think they do this for fun to brighten up what must be very boring jobs...

Wow.  That's nuts.  Perhaps allow me to propose a new guess as to why all the updated dates?  Back when we were K1, everytime someone "touched" a file, it was updated.  I can't imagine, but maybe that's why all the changed dates?

This is crazy.

On original case status web site it shows:

1) On MARCH 5 we recieved your case at local office ( Used to be February 26)

2) Fees were waived ( bs)

On second website (apparently new) its:

1) On Febryary 26 we recieved yoiur case

2) On February 25 we recieved your case

3) On December 11 we recived your case  ( 3 identical statuses)

4) On december 11 we recived your case and waived fees (bs)

So, NONE OF THESE STATUSES are right. The only correct thing is that they recived my case on December 11. That is all.

I just printed all these pages and straight to the infopass i go next week.

If theyt confirm they DO NOT have my case at local office, then ill just call it quits in  checking case status and going to wait my turm at Cervice Center where i belive my application is still at.

Isn't it possible that the 'we received' messages refer to your  file being received in different offices?

So they could all be true.

What you mean? Like they send case from CSC who knows where on February 25, then again on 26, then again at 5 March?  Like they tranferred it 3 times somewhere but somehow Tier2 is telling me its at CSC? So so confused!

I'm actually wondering it it might mean received by different systems.  We know they have two internal systems, we now know that they have two different public access systems, and we know that they are updating the systems.  It might be that they are updating the files and uploading them to the different systems for different offices to theoretically have access.

Not everyone is receiving two date changes on their case, but if that ends up happening, it could indicate as one poster said that the cases were sent to the Potomac Service Center before routing to the local offices.  That would make sense if PSC needed to sort out the locations or needed to scan or verify documents before sending them.  It would be awesome if they did some sort of "light review" such as which cases look stronger, but of course, this is just a pipe dream of USCIS efficiency of mine.

Interesting theory of a migration to moving ROC cases to an online filing system like the N-400.  That would make sense since the ROC is not so evidence intensive like our fiance visa petition was.  It would be nice if they would make a I-551 stamp as an option for another year if the petitioner plans to file for USC within the next year.  The I-551 stamp is given by default anyway, so that would cut out huge hours of man hours out of the whole process if we could just get one more year added to the GC.

For those that need waivers and such, they may need manual processing, but that one year extension stamp shouldn't be nearly as hard as they make it out to be if they can't process our ROC's within a year.  Besides, those that will be naturalizing  at the end really don't need the GC!  Even if the ROC was processed within 6 months, we may only have the 10 year GC for 10-15 months, or less.

I just  created a new account on the "second" uscis website. It does seem more intuitive and definitely has allot more information than the "case status" site.

On the regular case status website. My Wac # that used to be invalid had   changed to received on 2.27.2018 at local office like everyone else's. On 3.5.2018 the date changed. Which seems consistent to what everyone else is saying.

The message on the WAC # number that was on my biometric appt has never changed from since the 12.22.2106. Which was the day of my NOA1.

However on the "second" website. My 1st WAC # (that used to give an invalid error) states that my case was received on 2.27.2018  (which is consistent with the first date change notification) BUT it goes on to say that I should expect to receive a notice by 03.28.2018.

The other WAC # has a consistent message to the case status website.

The dates on the second website are off. But the information is pretty much the same.

I decided to give another try and I called USCIS during my lunch. The Tier 2 lady confirmed that my case is at the local office but she wasn't aware of what is going on. She seemed to be very sincere and really wanted to help. She mentioned that she received tons of similar calls but no one in her office is informed of anything. She thinks that there might be another update in the next 2 weeks but it's only her guessing. When I asked her if this can indicate an interview she said that interviews are rare. RFE's are happening more often and one of the reason they send them, they want to have an updated status on the ongoing marriage.

Woudnt be such moves ( or at least one of them) reflected at Tier2 systems? With proceeding speed i HIGHLY DOUBT it got transfered 2 times in 2 days and then another one on 5th March. Who would do all that work for a thousands of cases and no information about it available for Tier2?

Fingers crossed for a system glitch still. After service request to CSC and infopass to  local office i hope that become more obvious
