Question on reporting on campus job on N400

My son is a UG student and he is now, applying his N400.  He has the following 2 questions.

1)He has a paid research job on campus.  If and how should he report this on the form?

2)He did a temporary 3 week, paid job during his christmas break in 2015.  If and how should he report this?

3)Since, his earnings have been very small, he has not filed his taxes till now.   Since he did a 3 month summer internship in 2016, he is going to file his returns now and he has also reported this in his N400.  But, how should he answer the question if he has anytime filed the tax question? (this wording of this question is quite tricky)

Yes he needs to disclose this.  Under employment history, he fills in the details about his employment (dates beginning and ending, etc.)

He would answer "yes" to the question of if he has anytime NOT filed, and include a written statement as to why he did not file taxes the previous years, as outlined in the application instructions.

One of my 2 kids is a USC.  On the online form, I do not have a question, for which I can say 'YES' for USC.  Instead, it asks for an A#.  Should I say that, he doesn't have an A#, and then, add an additional explanation sheet, to explain this or just say No A# and leave it at that?

Just put "N/A" for A#. There are some USCs who do have an A# (if they naturalized) but your son does not, so that question is not applicable to him.

My son did naturalize.  So, does this mean, I should give the A# he had on his GC back then?

I probably would. I mean, it's a number that the US government used to refer to him (even though it doesn't really apply anymore). It couldn't hurt.

My younger son and myself have made trips longer than 6 months, outside the US and we have an approved N470, and employment letter that clearly states overseas deputation, to take care of continuity of residence. 

A) To my application, I would attach - 1) 1040 of the tax return (married, filing jointly) for 5 yrs, 2) Joint a/c bank statement (this would have a US address for which I have AR-11) of 5 yrs, 3) Credit card statement (this would have a US address for which I have AR-11), 4) My US driver's licence.  Are these documents enough to show ties to the US, while away on travel?

 

B)My son was a minor while we were on those more than 6 months trips and appears only as a dependent on our tax returns.  What other document, other than the approved N470 and the overseas employment letter, will be a supporting document that can show his ties to the US?
