Proof of Citizenship - how much is required?

In the K-1 checklist here, it says that the following are required for proof of citizenship: 

 

Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years or a copy of the US Citizen's naturalization certificate (front and back). This is used to establish citizenship.

 

My two  issues with this: 

 

1) My birth certificate is just one-sided. So I don't know how I'd make a copy of the back.

 

2) Do I really need to make a copy of ALL passport pages? The instructions on the USCIS site do not state this.

Just photocopy the front page of your bc if it’s one sided only. Send all the pages of your passport.

Front side only of the BC is fine if it's one-sided.

 

OR you can do the passport. The current instructions don't explicitly say all pages are required, and people have been approved without an RFE sending only the bio page. At the same time, previous versions (early 2017/late 2016 era and back) explicitly said to photocopy all pages.

7/13/2017: Interview: APPROVED!!!

7/19/2017: Visa in hand

8/15/2017: POE
