Did I screw up n-400? (still waiting for ROC)

My wife just became eligible to apply for N-400 and I went ahead and filed it online, however she's still waiting for the ROC (filed Feb 2017), but the online form did not ask for anything related to that. Her GC is already expired, and the extension letter she received my wife told me that when she went for the fingerprinting for the ROC, they never gave back her extension letter. Um, was this supposed to happen??  I hope they have it in their system somewhere that ROC was submitted and hopefully will not delay N-400.

I think your wife misplaced the extension letter. You don’t need the extension letter for biometrics appointment at all, you show them the appointment letter uscis sent you. Therefore there’s no way they took that letter.

Yes, have her look again for the letter... if she can’t find it she may have to make an infopass appointment to get a stamp in her passport for proof of status until either she gets her new green card or you get an interview for the n400.

Yep, we have an infopass scheduled this week for the stamp and that extension letter is expiring anyway lol. It's taking SO LONG for the ROC that even the one year extension letter is not enough. Travesty. But yeah, She very well may have misplaced it or just given it to them and they didn't bother returning it, who knows. It was a long while ago. The N-400 online application seems to allow me to upload extra documents even after case was submitted so I'm hoping to send the scan of her stamp so they can see it to help prevent any RFE delay bs.
