regarding packet 3

hello all,,

I am not sure if this is the case for all embassies ( mine is mumbai, India ). my wife still has not recieved packet 3 yet. but I was glancing thru packet 3 online and it says that fill out this form and attached (ds-156, ds230 part 1) and send it back to us. Now if people who have received packet 3 (from mumbai), can you tell me if ds-156 was actually physically enclosed in the packet3..?? the reason I am asking this is because, all I see on the website is that electronic ds-156 form. I was just curious if embassy actually attaching a "hard" form? any tips will be great!!!! thanks....

My wife in Pakistan got a paper copy of all forms but I also emailed the embassy and they said they can accept the online forms as well as the paper ones

They will enclose the forms they want you to complete even though all of them are available online - the DS-156 in question is suggested because it prints a bar code that is otherwise not on the downloadable version. My advice would be to complete the electronic version.

Candidly, you don't have to wait for them to send you the forms - I think most are completing them as soon as possible.
