So is 1 year with a sponsor okay?

1 year stable income, good explanation of why didn't have before (they may just ask, as they did ask to a friend this month and she just explained petitioner was a student previous year)and a letter from employer stating your status and yearly income on top of last years tax returns, would be good for many embassies.

In our case we are also having a co-sponsor just in case. to avoid any issues.

And the cosponsor needs multiple years of income and proof of employment and position? Thanks by the way.

It is not a need really but they need to prove they can sponsor them and make enough money or have enough income.

So recommend then right?

It will be in the evidence list - yes.

it is more than recommended. what I mean by needed is, the way of how you prove is not only one. but tax transcripts are usually a must (either 1 year or 3 years depending on the embassy.)

Okay this is good information for me. Thank you! I been digging and trying to find more information on the embassy for El Salvador but I have been having a hard time. I see a few reviews on Visa Journey but they don't go into too much detail and they are separated by long time lengths.

Charts to compare July, August, September and October regarding the length of time from Received to Approved (as to 05/06/2018).

As a reminder, in the charts below I try to compare what happened within the next 187 days after the last day of July, August, September and October received cases. In order to see them clearer I put them together in pairs.

In that time, with a total of 596, 849, 923 and 1038 approved cases respectively:

  • July had a global mean of 195.56 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 5.22 days.
  • August had a global mean of 189.94 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 6.95 days.
  • September had a global mean of 187.57 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.68 days.
  • October had a global mean of 182.92 days from Received to Approval date, with a standard deviation of 7.00 days.

As I mentioned in some previous post there clearly was a turning point from July to August, and it has kept improving consistently ever since. Notice that they did not only shortened the average number of days, they also approved more cases in the same period of time. Hopefully this tendency will continue! :)

@Daniel P do you have any data for us January Filers? Thanks in Advance.

That Is the data for January too.

this data shows how the averages are, there is no approval in January to have an average.

if you’re asking about case numbers per dates, I’ve posted it last week (I think it was Saturday)

Yes I didn’t update. I was having problems with my pc this weekend. But numbers won’t change much unless they start January.

I’ll try to update all months this week.
