Very well could be on Novemebr but nothing has showed on the scans that are done on uscis servers. Some people could have entered their submitted date as their noa1 whereas we at vj and uscis go by received date. Submitted date is earlier than the received date.   And maybe they received a silent noa2 (doesn’t show on scan and they receive in mail).  In either case they are close

So what are the submitted date and recieved date definitions?  Thanks

Today is marking the 100 days since our NOA1!!! I'm so excited and time flies so faaasssst and I'm going to see my fiance in two days. We're meeting in Bali and we're going to spend 10 days around the island before flying to Jakarta and we're going to Bogor and take a boat to a small private island in the north of Jakarta to enjoy Robinson Crusoe's style pre-honeymoon hahaha I can't wait. Enjoy your time, friends. The tropical island breeze  is something I would really miss once I'm in the US!!!

wow sounds like fun! I wish I had plans to see my fiancé again during this process enjoy ur visit together

How long since you saw your fiance, @S&JW? I visited him on March and now his turn visiting me. Planning about things in the future keep us on toes and anticipating. But I also believe that we have to savor the present moment. To me it's enjoying crazy traffic in Jakarta on motorcycle ride, eating local street food I wouldn't find in SF, spending time with my family and friends, complaining on how hot and humid the weather today with people I start the conversation with, enjoying my own bed without worrying someone would kick me out of bed or steal my blanket and most of it all is enjoying speaking in my language! I don't see why we should be worried about the future when we have so many things to enjoy now 😁

It’s been 4 mos. Now since I saw Jason my fiancé. But I am feeling it’s been forever :clock:

That’s why I feel so happy reading about people who are about to meet their love, that excitement in their eyes are priceless.

Did your fiancé try your famous Nasi Lemak and Roti?? Keep us posted here. We would love seeing you both together.

Selamat Datang Ke Indonesia to your fiancé @iwir 😍

Here's an article for anyone confused about the difference between Annual and Adjusted Gross Income: https://www.protective.com/learning-center/money-management/gross-income-and-adjusted-gross-income-differences/

For this past year, I actually didn't report some of my business expenses so that my Annual Gross Income (form 1040 line 22, "Combine the amounts in the far right column for lines 7 through 21. This is your total income") would be high enough.  My Adjusted Gross Income is only about 2/3 of that due to paying for my own benefits (health insurance, SEP, and HSA).  Ah, the joys of self-employment.

Was your AGI stands for Annual Gross Income or Adjusted Gross Income? You hooked me there. I went confused.:D😂

Where are you from, @S&JW? Do you speak bahasa Indonesia? We call it nasi uduk instead of nasi lemak here. People in Malaysia/Singapore call it nasi lemak. And I believe what you mean  by roti is different roti in Bahasa. It's just normal bread here 🍞. He loves Indonesian food and we always have culinary adventure anywhere we go. But his most favorite food is of course beef rendang. I successfully brought the rendang paste for 5kg of beef to SF when I visited him last March and we cooked it together 👍😉

I agree four months seems like forever. That's why we always make plans on our next meeting so we have something to look forward to. We're lucky our work schedule and affordable airfare allow us to see each other as often as we can. I hope your next meeting with Jason will happen soon too!

You are one of the luckiest. I won’t be able to see Jason til POE because of his work 😢😢.

I have worked in Malaysia for 2 years. I am a Filipina. Our indonesian neighbor who(unfortunately)don’t understand english taught me of your dialect. Actually my bahasa is a mixture of indonesian and malaysian. Saya boleh cakap sendikit bahasa melayu dan indonesia(I can speak a little bahasa malaysia and indonesia) :D. Oh i love your famous beef rendang, curry ayam(chicken curry), rojak, laksa and cendol. They are heaven’s foods for me 😍. I can say your cuisines are one of the most delicious foods in the world.

I have few friends from surabaya and yogyakarta. And currently, where I am working now there are lots of indonesians too.

How about satay? Did he try it?

@S&JW, what brought us together is food and travel. We both love to eat and visiting many places to learn about their culture. The last time he visited Bali with me, we had traditional Balinese food like roasted suckling pig or pork BBQ Balinese style, lawar, nasi campur etc. And when we're visiting Bogor this May, I'm going to take him to places where the local traditional food is sold like toge goreng, soto mie and asinan.

Since Jakarta is a melting pot, when he was here I took him to menadonese, sundanese and padang restaurant. I can't remember any local food we had together. He tried mpek-mpek or fish cake from Palembang, had nasi uduk or nasi lemak with galangal fried chicken, chicken satay, gado-gado, you name it. He even had some durian with my late father haha

Your Bahasa Indonesia is really good! I'm sure two years in Malaysia made you familiar with our culture and food. HK is also a food paradise. We're going to arrange a culinary tour in HK with a well known chef from SF sometimes soon.

Anyway it must be tough you won't see Jason til POE. I can't even imagine that. But I'm sure there's must be a God plan behind everything. In Bahasa we ask people how they're doing by saying sudah makan belum or have you eaten yet? They don't mean to buy you something to eat. In our culture if you have good appetite, then you must be healthy and healthy people must be happy. So while waiting til you see each other again, my VJ friends, let's eat well and stay positive and healthy. In Bahasa we also say kalau sudah jodoh tidak akan ke mana or if it's meant to be, it will happen anyway 😉

In Bahasa we ask people how they're doing by saying sudah makan belum or have you eaten yet? They don't mean to buy you something to eat. In our culture if you have good appetite, then you must be healthy and healthy people must be happy.

It's the same in China! I didn't realize this was done in other parts of Asia. Cool :)

Hongkong is a great city. Great place for recreation, tour and shopping. But when it comes to foods, nobody beats your tastes(indonesian/malay).

Was your AGI stands for Annual Gross Income or Adjusted Gross Income? You hooked me there. I went confused.:D😂

AGI usually means Adjusted.  I got confused because another post told me Annual Gross Income, which I think is what the IRS calls Total Income (form 1040 line 22).

June 2016: We started writing to each other

08/03/2018: Notice date on our NOA2 (updated in USCIS's new website on August 6)

09/04/2018: Our package left NVC (arrived 9/11, and she sent packet 3 that day)

09/20/2018: Received packet 4; scheduled interview

10/30/2018: Interview - told that we're approved!  Now waiting to receive the visa...

Enjoy! I will be seeing my fiancé at the end of the month and we are actually going to Bali as well!! Calling it our "pre-marriage honeymoon" lol
