So will any of us know when our petitions have been "touched" or will the next notice we get will it be a RFE or NOA2?

That’s the question that’s unfortunately nobody can answer . But with regards to when they will touch January, please refer to your Immigration timeline here on VisaJourney.

70-75 days would be amazing!  According to my timeline I still have about 90 days... So this gives me hope over this long period....  My fiance went back to Sweden January 1st and won't be back till end of June/bringing of July....

Yes they should start Jan 2 In 70 days ish if. They continue the same pace as they have for the past 3 months. They are averaging just under 30 days a month: now just bc they hit a day doesn’t mean you will be finished on that day. It takes 30 days after they hit your day to touch most cases on that day. If you are “lucky” one your case will be one of the first ones they touch on that day.

I'm not asking when January will be touched... Lol I check my timeline often...  I just see various posts talking about "touched" petitions and I was just wondering how "we" know a petition will be"touched"...  I'm just trying to understand all these posts I read....

Hoping for an early October POE for us; my fiance is travelling to the UK for the last week of September, so it would be amazing to travel back with him!

I was going to have my last day of work on September 21st, but my boss approached me yesterday to ask if I would be willing to work remotely once I have an EAD (guaranteed work, yay!)

ROC Timeline:

Date format is MM/DD/YY

05/16/19 - Green Card Issue Date

03/10/21 - Sent ROC paperwork to Phoenix, AZ | USPS 2-Day Shipping

04/07/21 - NOA1 Text Messages Received

So, I’m ashamed to admit that when we first filed, we were thinking late August based on previous experiences with people we know who did this 18 months ago. This was before we found VJ and then found out about the backlog and now seeing how long it CAN take. Even though we are a late Janie filer, I am still hopeful (but want to remain realistic) for a September POE. I’d love early September, fiancé is groomsman for another wedding mid-Sept and I’d hate to miss that one. There’s a wedding next month he’s also a groomsman in and I’m close with the couple but obviously will be missing that one. This is what sucks with the process. 😥

My dad is getting married in September - unfortunately my fiance will miss that one because he's limited on time he can take off work and we have our "honeymoon" hopefully in November (We're just going to the other side of Florida but it counts!).

The process does suck; before I checked out the backlog, when we submitted I was worried I would have too much time between interview and POE.

Sooo sorry you're missing a wedding next month, I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can POE in early September for the other one

Haha, I wish i had started the process that early. i would have if i knew about this major delay in processing. i was still under the impression that it took 90 days for approval like it was before. My fiance and i had hoped got a May 5th wedding date but that wont happen.

i just like to lurk in the older months to get the updated information about what is going on and report back to our group, so we all are in the know.

I was telling my fiancé to start the process early too....but he of course needs to be in control so here we are Late Jan filers....however we are closer to being together than before 2months and 2 weeks down already :)
