@Naes, could you inform me what the status "Notice Explaining USCIS' Actions Was Mailed" means? Is that a denial or something?

I saw this status on one of your scans and for curious to know what it means.

It's probably a NOID, which is a Notice of Intent to Deny. Which is like a more serious RFE but you still have an opportunity to answer it.

Oh, that's not good lol. Any idea what makes them send NOIDs? I imagine it would have to be something serious. Because if we person forgot to send a document (ex: proof of citizenship) then they would just send an RFE. So what would make them send a NOID?

That I'm not 100% sure about but I'm sure it must be because of some gross requirement that someone's missing. Like NO proof at all of meeting or something...not sure though @Naes Any insight?

It is a serious form of rfe, from what I see it's usually the bonafide relationship and meeting in past 2 years related. Another one can be not being single.

it usually gives less time to reply than an rfe (rfe:84 days NOID: I believe was 30 days)

proof of citizenship would be an rfe, from my experience.

OMG Yes!! I look at the really ridiculous ones, like the one where the poor petitioner got duped by the beneficiary and she told him they had denied her visa because he was too bad looking. That was sad. And MENA countries and African threads with really tough embassies to prepare myself mentally and f'd up POEs. *Sigh* Overthinkers unite!

What do you mean by marijuana cases lol

People asking what happens if they used marijuana and they are literally asking here if they should lie at the medical about past usage and trying to figure out what to do as it won't come up in the medical (they ask in the medical exam and there's a 1 year ban and retesting of drugs are involved)

so it made me curious about the law. As marijuana is legal in some states but federally it is not legal. And uscis and embassies follow the medical laws.

which is interesting cause I also read about marriages with cousins and at this one embassy follows the law of the state marriage will be held...

yeah so you know that person who gets lost in Wikipedia jumping from article to article? That's basically me in vj 😂😂😂

Yea I saw that! When I talked to my fiancè after reading that I made it extremely clear you gotta zip and ask for a translator (there was another thread with a korean? beneficiary who got turned around and supposedly got bullied into saying something strange about the petitioner's address? She didn't speak English well) and NEVER NEVER EVER say that we're anything closed to married and to specify the wedding date.
