Entry.  Here is how I am coming up with that date. They started processing August Cases on February 5th.  They have processed as far as August 29th and I believe they will start processing September by March 1.  So by going at that same rate that means its taking 24 days for a month.   They also had President's day which they were closed.

In theory they would start October on the 25th of march at the same pace.

Then 24 days later they start November on April 18th

24 days from that is May 12th when they would start December

then January under that same pace would start January on June 5

You have case transferred to NVC, medical and Interview and get your visa back all for a Aug 1st POE

Again this assumes they move at the same pace.  And luck would have to be on your side because it can take them up to 60 days from the time they start to get a month finished and this doesn't take into account an RFE.  And this is just a guess who knows what happens with USCIS.

I just hope they keep this same pace or get faster.

I used to think the same way, but its 6-8 months to get NOA2 , they started august but they are no where near finished with august. They are still doing may, june and july and barely august. I'm aug 7 filer and just got approved and its feb 25th, just got the letter yesterday. so poe for you peeps should be around October. noa2 around august sometime.

Its really a guess but who knows. USCIS moves at different paces all the time.  If Jan 2018 filers had filed a year earlier they would have had  NOA2 in  less than 60 days.  They are constantly moving workloads around to other offices to help with the backlog.  I think your situation was different because they got extremely backed up in May.  They were stuck on May for quite some time.  One thing I know for sure is that they are moving faster right now and I hope they are able to keep that pace.

The wait is not always six months. Last January it was under 60 days in some instances.  I also found exmaples from 2013 and 2015 when it was under 60 days - non-expidited.    USCIS is unpredictible.  It isn't always 6-8 months and it isn't always 60 days.  No one knows.  What we do know is that they have moved through August faster than they moved through May, June and July.  If they keep this pace it wont be anywhere close to  8 months, unless there is another issue RFE, Criminal background, etc.

Hi... I've been trolling for a few weeks.  I receivwd I think what you call a NOA1 with a receive date of January 24.

I just received another NOA(2) not the one for approval.

I checked my case online and nothing has been updated since February 15th.

The second NOA is more detaileds of the process and what to expect and gave me A#.

The envelopes have same address except the second one is in blue with homeland security seal and name.

Any ideas what this means?

Does it say anything under notice type or a valid from date? If it’s an noa2 it will have a 4 month validity period. Otherwise it’s prob a duplicate of your noa1.

I did not see that,  its a 2 page Notice.  Notice date 02/15/2018 with an assigned (A-number) Alien Registration Number.

It looks similar to the first noa1 notice date January 29, 2018. Is this my noa1 date or 2-15-2018? This one is 2 pages long with much information not like the first one.
