Are you sure? That's strange because, if anything, they are usually pros at cashing in checks. I would definitely call and see.

Oh goodness! At the beginning of our relationship we spent 9 months without seeing each other and we said never again. It's just too difficult, you forget their smell, their kisses, their warmth no matter how hard you try to hold on to the memories. Thank you for your wishes! I can't wait, I get to meet my family-in-law as well! Then we'll see, if we get NOA2 by June we probably won't see each other before POE...but realistically...we're planning to see each other in August when he gets vacation time and we can get all the paperwork ready (bring the I-134, get police certificates). Then he'll come by himself hopefully late september/early october (pleassssseeeee). But you're right, we need to be strong. I get scared with all the couples breaking up because of the stress of the process :( Just keeping my faith and resolve that we will get through this and that times will get better. Hoping that by Thanksgiving our peoples will be here with us.

I feel like people on this forum are a tad bit pessimistic. Complaining that the process might take long even though we don't know if that will even be the case. That they'll go long without seeing their fiancée's and whatnot. I know there are a lot of people here that go close to a year without seeing their significant other (my case) and have been at it for a long time. While other people on here see their significant other every few months. I feel that couples like that are lucky and waiting until September/October to be in the us should not be a problem at all.

We need to think that most of us January filers will be in the US by labor day. And I say most because I know a few will be there by then. Now let's just pray that we can get our NoA2s by June and not July. Because if we get it by June, then a lot of us will be there labor day. And I believe that we will not have a lengthy process like may-july filers, as the Trump effect dies down and as USCIS adjudicators start to get more used to whatever new policies and standards were implemented. Maybe they'll even hire more employees by then. Who knows lol.

And the more we talk about it the worse it gets hahaha

I think pessimism is a natural part of the process. Had it been a year or two ago I might have been the same; but me and mine have been together since October 2014 and the goodbyes are more unbearable than the time between, so the fact we shouldn't have to say goodbye again (at least not for a long period of time) is really exciting.

Even if we get our visa done and approved by labour day (i think this is early September?), though, we're going to wait because my dad is getting married himself at the end of September.

Seeing the amount of disintegrating relationships is sad though! I thought I would be stressing a lot more than I am, but I have far too much going on elsewhere to really focus on it yet! I am a little nervous about leaving the UK though...

Before we know it, we'll be doing the AOS forms! :D

I agree we should all be optimistic, but there's some truth and some value in being realistic as well. For s early Jan filers, when the wait began the numbers were horrific--we thought we'd be lucky if our fiancès were here by November. Thankfully now we can afford to be much more optimistic the way the numbers have progressed. But i think being realistic is helpful to keeping the resolve. Being cautiously optimistic is what I aim for, hoping that we can be here by Labor Day but keeping our hearts set for a more realistic timeline--they'll be here by Christmas. Many of the broken relationships have been because they were too optimistic and expected an unrealistic timeline. But I certainly hope someone hears what you're saying and that your prediction comes true. Would love to have my fiance here by Labor Day.

We gotta stay realistic but also stay positive. And trust me guys, I'm a pretty pessimistic person on certain things, so I know being pessimistic is only natural in these situations but positive energy does bring positive things. It's like jealousy, it does exist and it can affect things. I say that to say this, don't go around telling the world that you're in the k-1 visa process. Some people will be happy for you but a lot of other people will feel envious of your situation and that does not go well.

Also USCIS is implementing new things so maybe that will speed up processing times. For example, I know they contracted a company just recently to optimize their processing system, so that might help out. Also, I see on USCIS website that you can now pay the I-129f and 40 other form fees with a credit card.

Another big thing is that you can now also file the N-400 (naturalization) online. Idk if this will affect us, but future applications will definitely benefit from this. Imagine how much easier it is for an adjudicator to be able to go through e-files and not physical files.

So let's just pray and wait. Ultimately, it's the only thing we can do.

Just adding the following print of what people can do with the new N-400 online application option. Imagine if that was also the case for us k-1s? If we could respond to an RFE online and stuff ? I believe that would speed the process by a good amount.

the hardest part for us who can see each other every several months or so is when we have to part and say good bye again. the anticipation of seeing each other again and never have to say good bye anymore, that's what giving us hope. I know negative energy is not good for overall process, but we have seen the K1 process is getting longer than it used to be. that's what makes us discouraged sometimes. Let's pray and wait the new system in USCIS is up and running well and processing the remaining cases faster. everyone here is anticipating for good news. Hang in there, guys!

Are you sure? That's strange because, if anything, they are usually pros at cashing in checks. I would definitely call and see.

I tried to call them today, but every time I enter my 10 digit case # it says that i didnt put in enough numbers I have tried it several times.

dont know what to do now 😩
