If she was in the U.S. while you were filling out the I-129F form then you indicate yes and include her I-94 Record number then follow through 38.d. to 38.h.  My fiancee was in the U.S. with me while we were putting our package together,  The electronic I-94 should have all the information with the most current date of entry to the U.S.

For our package we only used page protectors for our photos and held all pages together with the the paper clips not the fasteners.  Also we put the tabs on the bottom.  It was less bulky this way and straight to the point.

Hola,

Thank you for your quick responce and information.

I have tried to get the most recent electronic I-94 but is not posted, just the one from 2012! However, under her Travel History all the Arrivals and Departures are dated from 02/2012 to 01/2018 when she last left the USA.

You said to "follow through 38.d. to 38.h." You ment 38.a. to 38.h., is that so?

What do they mean on #38.f. TRAVEL DOCUMENT NUMBER is that the VISA number or?

If this is the VISA number, we have all the information from 38.a to 38.h. EXCEPT for # 38.b. I-94 ARRIVAL-DEPARTURE RECORD NUMBER!!!!!!

Can I leave #38.b. blank since we have all other verefication concerning Arrivals and Departures! We have her TRAVEL HISTORY, right from the same electronic webpage as the I-94 and Passport documentations!!

Gracias and God bless you

Congratulations!!

I have not send my I-129F because I have some questions about how to send the petition.

1. Can I send it on a binder?

2. Using plastic protectors?

3. Use a yellow highlighter to underline important words?

4. Tabs on the top or side of the paper?

5. Can I Copy original pictures?

6. Write date, people, place by hand next to each picture?

Hope you can help me. I'm just starting to navigate on this site. I anxiuos to send the petition!

I know is not an official reply but I did not know where to ask my question!!!

Thank you so much and God bless you.

Here is a link to the USCIS Form Filing Tips:

https://www.uscis.gov/forms-filing-tips

It sounds like there is some flexibility in what they will accept.  Personally, I followed their advice in using a Two Hole Punch with ACCO fastener and Sticky Tabs at the bottom of pages where I thought was appropriate.  (Between major sections, ie i-129f form, Evidence of Citizenship, Evidence of Meeting, etc).    I received my NOA1 in December, but it will be many more months until Approval or I receive any RFEs.

Specific to your questions, their tips suggest the following.

In preparing your packet, remember:

  • Do not use binders or folders that we cannot easily disassemble.
  • Use fasteners to hold together thick or bulky applications or petitions. Two-hole punching the top of the material for easy placement in the file is appreciated.
  • Sticky tabs assist in locating items listed as attachments. For easy filing, place the tabs on the bottom of the page, not the side.
  • Do not use heavy-duty staples; instead use fasteners or heavy clips.
  • Do not submit originals unless specifically required.
  • Do not submit oversized documentation unless it is necessary.

you would go onto this page https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home and click on the second option where it says "Already visiting and need proof status" that will give you the most recent I-94.  The Visa Number is NOT the arrival-departure number.  The number should be the admission (I-94) record number which is the first thing you would see if you can view her I-94.

yes i meant 38.a. to 38.h.  if she doesn't have an electronic i-94 there may have been a paper copy.   I would not leave anything blank unless it doesn't apply to you.

in summary if she WAS NOT in the U.S. when you filled out the form and when you sent it, I wouldn't stress about 38.a. to 38.h. just check off #37.

Make sure you have all pages of her passport showing entry stamps into the U.S. and you can include her travel history as additional proof it wouldn't hurt.

Maybe someone more experienced can correct me if I'm wrong.
