Does anyone know what happens after you receive your NOA1? We mailed in our packet on December 29, 2017 & received the NOA1 on January 4th. 

What happens next? 😮

Well waiting happens till you get noa2 (right now approximately 6-7 months wait)

 

or you may get an rfe (request for evidence) if they need any more documents from you..(this still requires wait)

As far as I know, we use received date. That's the date of your actual NOA1.

Wow that's an old one to pick.

 

People use noa1 date to fill vj timeline, however when uscis is doing cases they go by the case received date that show online.

You mean, notice date @Naes? I was confused myself. I used notice date but then when I input the receipt number to USCIS system, they told me they received that 5 days earlier. I feel more comfortable to use the receive date here too because that's the date USCIS is going to process my case. But I don't know if it would affect the projection here or your calculation. Any thoughts?

 

Oh by the way, I really appreciate your post earlier about the number of cases that have been touched or approved. Even though I don't know how to really read it, I really hope they're going to touch august filers next week!
