Hard copy of NOA1 received today, postmark 1/29, 3 days from CA to MI, 9 days after packet received in Lewisville, TX.

oh wow! once those summer filers are cleared up, USCIS should be able to finish winter filers too in no time especially when you said it's in general more quiet. January should be quick and painless too (fingers crossed) although i saw some cases lasted for 6-7 months and some others got their NOA2 in 3-4 months. To make the wait easier, I'm going to visit my USC fiance soon in March. We're going to look for a rent, start preparing I-134 form, take a dance class for our wedding (hey, never too early to learn how to dance), have our engagement party, meet his big family (i've met his parents a couple of time, but this time it's for aunts and uncles and cousins all over california), accompany him to a conference in sacramento (his industry is having a meeting with local representatives, so he thinks it would be good to observe for my civic education ). I'm really crossing my fingers here. My expected POE will be before thanksgiving. we're already thinking we should start preparing our wedding once the NVC start working on our case. Keep our spirit high, fellow VJers!!

Have you heard anything back yet? Like got the NOA1 or had electronic confirmation via text or email? We haven’t had anything so just a bit worried.

I sent mine four days earlier and got the email notice two days ago, so I’d imagine you’ll hear back in a day or so if the timeline is similar

We used a cashiers cheque as my fiancé didn’t have personal cheques so we can’t trace it unfortunately. Okay will do. Thank you

You did trace the package though right? It says received on the other end?

 

It can really take up to 3 weeks even if it is sent the same date.

No we haven't heard anything yet I did check to see if they cashed our money...and they hadn't......

Yeah we did and it was signed for Monday so it’s arrived and in there hands as far as I know. We went with USPS to the P.O. box.

Oh then you'll receive it next week probably! We sent it Monday it arrived there Next day also PO box they sent us a text on next Tuesday but our noa was the Friday before

Hi everyone! I am January filer as well. We got NOA1 email notification, still waiting for a hard copy. In the meantime, I want to ask about USCIS status updates. Will I get any notification between notification about receiving my case in the Lockbox and receiving RFE/NOA2? I mean like, maybe some update that my case was received by CSC or something? I really don’t want to spend five months waiting for NOA2 and then it will turn out that my package never made it from the Lockbox to CSC because it was lost by the post office or something😓
