I knowwww... it is really weird, it also might be that since we no longer have the scans we don't really notice how many RFE's are sent out. i wish we had the scans again.

If you take a peek in the December forum, you will see a lot of RFEs popping up for folks who have been waiting 220 + days.

heheheh I know 😔that too but i feel jealous that some people got approved at 180-183 days and i am 185 already. It also worries me that i might be on of the unlucky ones to lurk here for 250 days...so as each day goes by i get more anxious. 200 days seem sooooooo far away. the bad part is that us with a brazilian fiance( maybe you are the fiance) it takes about 3 more months for the NVC process. :(

Yeah I know what you mean. I was also hopeful that I would get my approval in 185 days but I'm usually not a lucky person in anything so... Yeah lol

Yes, I am the fiance (beneficiary). Yeah, from the time you get approved to the time you get your visa in hands its about 3 months. I've checked with a couple of people and it's pretty much consistent. Some might shave off a week or two depending where they get their medical and how quick they're able to schedule the interview I'm Rio. I wish we would at least have the medical done in advance like you can do in some countries. That would help.

Oh boy, that's not good. If anything they should sent out RFEs first since they know it takes time for them to send out the Notice and to get it back. So if they know it's gonna delay a couples petition then why send RFEs out even later? I'm saying this bc we forgot some little things in our packet and expect an RFE. So I would want it sooner rather than later since it's gonna delay us in a couple of weeks.

Hi Everyone! Quick question for those who have been approved, were your VJ estimate dates for NO2 close to your approval date? Or were they completely off?

No.  I was approved a couple weeks before the estimate

Do you have to wait until Rio receives it before you can even schedule the medical?

From what I know, you need to have the visa interview confirmation in hands in order to schedule the medical. At least the physician in Belo Horizonte Will only schedule me in after I already have the interview scheduled. And I believe the physicians here all do the same.

Maybe you should call the doctor you plan on going to and personally ask just to be sure.

Side note here, NVC sends an approval to the USC, then almost at the same time, send another notification that the approval notice is being sent to the local embassy in this case Rio.

1- NVC sends your petition electronically to Rio

2- Rio receives it and send an email to USC and Beneficiary with the instructions to medial/interview etc.....

There are few cases where the email form Rio Embassy doesnt come thru and on this case you will use your RDJ number to pay all the required fees, schedule the interview and medical.

Typically yes, that when they release your RDJ# to book the interview, otherwise the brazilian page wont recognize your code.

My NOA1 was Jan10 and it has passed time now, NO RFE Yet or NOA2.. seems to be just stuck waiting... Anyone else have any Idea what is happening???

You are still within normal processing and will be there until you hit 210 days which will probably be Around aug 8. 200 seems to be the average Now. Some are lucky and getting 185. Not much you can do except wait it out. File an inquiry on 210 or contact senator/congressmen but no one knows for sure if it helps but it can’t hurt.

Zero idea. As long as we are still within processing time we are still good to go. The only thing we can do now is to wait and to have High Hopes that this week will be our time of approval. :innocent:

I feel worried actually hitting 210days without any news. Cause when you do an inquiry about being outside normal processing, USCIS will just going to give you a standard answer and that is “wait for another 30-45days”. Like what???😱😱😱 That will be another agony on our part. 😭😭😭
