I believe you called to early, they gave a generic response. I'm not as versed as many on here but I believe it's around 200 days before you can call. That would be around August 7th for you.

Okay, I know that i called before the 215 days but I did not realize that that was the magical time when there would be specific notes on the case. I just wanted to know if it had been "touched" so that I could stop obsessively checking the website for updates and calm my mind a bit. I should just leave it all alone. She shocked me with her answer though, and I really just need to stop thinking about it.

Has anyone been approved from the CSC from January? I just called USCIS and checked on the status of my case. Date on new site is Jan 19, 2018. I thought were were at the end of this part of the process but she just told me that it was 11 -14 months instead of 5-7. I am so sad because this info is different then what the processing times say on this website.

They must have misunderstood visa type, 11-14 sounds more like K-3

Plenty of people have been approved for January but 11 to 14 months does not sound accurate for K1. I think as far as Jan 23rd is touched but many are still waiting. Im Jan 2nd recieved and some December and even November are still waiting.

Yeah, I think you are right. Maybe she was reading from the wrong script. She was definitely reading a standard scripted response. Thank you all for making me feel better!

I would assume that she was reading the wrong scripted answer too. Thank you for helping to calm me down!

Yes, people have been approved who filed all the way up to around the 18th of January, with a couple outliers from even later than that already approved.

The current processing time for the I-129F from the USCIS website shows 5-7 months as typical processing time.  Keep in mind that this is only for the approval of the I-129F, which is the first step in the K1 visa process.  So if you got your I-129F approval at 7 months, it could conceivably take another 4+ months until the beneficiary actually enters the country with visa in hand.  It also could be as little as a month or two, depending on a variety of factors.  So if someone were referring to the entire process from filing to entering the U.S., 11-14 months can be an accurate estimate.

However the actual I-129F is taking 5-7 months, closer to 7 at the moment.

Great answer as this is really in a nut shell the process as we speak. Like you said there are a lot of factors that impact that timeline and let me say no two applications are the same. I hope @Adam Zollinger has found the answer he was looking for. Best of luck to you and him.
