You got approved without a RFE, did you send in all pages of both passports or did you send in just the birth certificate?

i got approved w/out RFE and I DID send every page of my passport with or without stamps. i was very thorough and a copy of my birth certificate front and back. better to play safe than sorry.

I'm also very confused. When we filed we read in the USCIS instructions that we had to send in proof of the petitiotioner's citizenship. Nowhere did I read that it needed to be a copy of every page of her passport or mine at that. Unless we were using the passport as proof of the times we met in person.

So whats going on? Did someone get a RFE specifically asking for the copy of all passport pages or is everyone just getting paranoid at this point.

Paranoia for sure!! :rolleyes::whistle:

More so paranoia, however if you look at the RFE's master list some of the reasons why there were RFE's in the past is due to lack of all passport pages. Not sure if this was maybe a requirement before that is no longer in use or what but it is a possibility since people have gotten them in the past for not submitting all pages.

So yes-
We have seen over the months that: IF your proof of citizenship is your passport, some people have gotten RFEs for not sending ALL the pages.
But this is not consistent. it seems to be a hit or miss based on who is adjudicating your case. So we have suggested that you send ALL the pages to be on the safe side.

Now if the passport is just needed to show like passport stamps to show you met in person, you don't need all the pages.

hey, random question. how do you add the little flag to your profile. I want to add it but can't figure out how to do it.

Go where you edit you timeline, and add in both highlighted fields below. hope that helps!

You don't have to have a timeline to update your country. You can just add it in the profile like I stated prior.

I am at day 190 today. On January 16, 2018, we received your Form I-129F.

When people are saying old and new site, what are you referring to?

Next step will be her medical and my affidavit of support? What else will be needed?

I sent a copy of my naturalization certificate to prove citizenship, just first pages of passport and pages with stamps to Armenia to prove travel. I think if you are born citizen a copy of birth certificate will do, I didn’t send all pages of passport and got approved...but I guess it depends what you are using to prove citizenship.

Key word being what you're using to prove citizenship
if ALL you sent is passport, RFEs have been known to be given for not including all the pages.

So it all depends on what the passport is for. Probably best to do a combo of passport and birth certificate (in my opinion)

You may get an RFE to which you will follow the instructions contained in the RFE, sign and return it back to them following their instructions. Please read it carefully and do everything it says to do otherwise, you may be denied. Someone forgot to sign their RFE and they were denied. Now they have to submit a waiver form along with $675 buckaroos to plea for consideration.

Why do you need to submit copies of blank passport pages?

Why do you need to submit copies of blank passport pages?

In my post I said "you may get an RFE" for not submitting all the pages. Each USCIS agent adjudicates case differently on this issue. This topic is a "hot potato"  anytime it comes up on the threads. I have yet to see any official policy to what is expected.  So I recommend erroring on the side of caution and submit all page even the blank ones. Then there is not lingering question(s). Years ago it was common practice to submit all pages including the blank ones. This was done to demonstrate that the petitioner or applicant was not hiding any information. Currently, only pages with relevant information are generally sent. But what is "relevant"? For example, if you have traveled to a country where travel is restricted, such as Cuba, you may wish to disclose that before the government inquires why you didn't. Likewise, a country that is implicated in national security matters. These issues can generally be explained, but if you do not disclose them upfront you will need to explain yourself when it comes up at the interview.
