You may get an RFE to which you will follow the instructions contained in the RFE, sign and return it back to them following their instructions. Please read it carefully and do everything it says to do otherwise, you may be denied. Someone forgot to sign their RFE and they were denied. Now they have to submit a waiver form along with $675 buckaroos to plea for consideration. :thumbs:

That is really unfortunate:(

I'm actually now freaking out about the passport thing. I actually can't remember what I did (example of why keeping copies of what you send is a good idea!) I vaguely remember maybe doing a couple pages? Definitely not all. I really really do not remember, and I know no one can help. I'm just really second guessing what I did, and really hoping that if I messed up THAT big, that we will get a RFE. We're going to get an RFE for passport photos anyway, so I thought I might get new ones taken and send them over. Maybe I'll be a little proactive and organise passport page copies *just in case* we get a massive RFE.

I just feel like such an idiot. I know all we can do is wait it out. Guys, take your time getting embassy documents together. This is exciting moving through the process but SO easy to overlook something. Fingers crossed I'm packing for nothing. :rolleyes:

Not every approval comes with a smile and yeah this what happens to me :(

got approved and honestly idk if we'll still do the k1, no call and texts for almost two months after she went back to US, I tried everything but she easily said just leave everything behind and respect her privacy. having a moody girlfriend and not talking when things get bad is very bad on a relationship, i even questioned myself a million times what i have done wrong but there's none. TBH my heart hurts and this is really painful :( can i still try to apply the visa and if ever i get approve i personally want to talk to her if we can work things out and i know this is a gamble.

Congratulations on all of our approvals!

I wish you all the best of luck!

I'm so sorry, don't give up. I'm sorry to hear this and I really hope it can work out...

I belive copying ALL the passport pages came from a previous version of the instructions.  The current version states:

  1. Evidence of U.S. citizenship which may include any of the following:

    1. A copy of your birth certi cate issued by a U.S. civil authority;

    2. A copy of your original Certi cate of Naturalization;

    3. A copy of your original Certi cate of Citizenship;

    4. A copy of your Form FS-240, Report of Birth Abroad of a Citizen of the United States;

    5. A copy of your valid, unexpired U.S. passport or passport card issued with a validity period of at least five years;

      or

    6. A statement executed by a U.S. consular of cer certifying that you are a U.S. citizen and the bearer of a currently valid U.S. passport.

I used the "Search this document" tool to search for the term passport, and I couldn't find anywhere referencing copying every single page, so don't stress too much yet.

It is just me or is USCIS literally just working on the first half of January ?? I haven't seen any 20's approvals at all. i have seen approvals up to 16-19 of january( new website) which technically makes them 11-15 of January filers on the old website. I I feel like USCIS did the same with December filers....they started to work on the 20's at the beginning of July...which makes me believe that they will work on the 20's at the beginning of August.

Btw Congratulations to everyone that has gotten approved!!!! :) :wub::jest:

Hey guys!

Old site: Jan 11

New: Site Jan 12

Received RFE this morning!

I dont know why I am not bummed out!? I'm happy that I got some sort of response.

 At least they are moving forward with January.

Keep the faith!

We are almost there.

Since you been following this thread I think you know this is not serious, if it were you would have a denial. So follow the instructions, keep copies and don't forget to sign the document. This will delay you by a few weeks. It is a good sign as they don't send out RFE's until everything is available for the adjudication of your case. Just a little more time.

I don’t know where everyone is getting this requirement from.  When I filed in January, you only had to send “every page” of passport if you were using to prove citizenship and didn’t send birth certificate.  If you sent birth certificate, you only had to include passport identification page and entry and exit stamps

Congratulations to the people who have been accepted! Hopefully this is the start of things speeding up a little?😁 we are January 10th old site and January 13th new site! Anxiously waiting and getting more and more excited!😃

 I’m curious, does uscis just approve things once a day in the morning? Or is it possible to still check and see that sometime in the afternoon an application has been approved? Just curious because Ive seen so many approvals in the early morning.😊
