We’ve hit 181 days, 6 months. Does anyone else feel it is NOT their time yet? I dunno where it’s come from. I know we’re heading into a new week, but I also just don’t feel like it’s our time yet. But maybe it’s a self-preservation thing because i don’t want us to be disappointed.

keep looking at that way so when u are finally approved you can be super excited. one thing is for sure u are closer than u were before..... im rooting for you!

Good morning everyone. Just hit the big 200 today. I never wanted to see that number 😭. Sometimes I see some of the november and october filers at 250 plus days and it absolutely terrifies me. I wish things were not like this

Joining the 200 days club ✌️🤞

And THERE is probably where I read it. I know I’ve visited the guides multiple times. I will follow Greenbaum’s comment and take those guides with a grain a salt. Like I said, I’ve been trying to read everything on this process 😂  I was thinking from now on, to photocopy *everything* just as a reference for us; just in case etc.

I've read that in multiple places too 😣😣😣😣 not really sure what is required of him to take the embassy besides relationship proof😥

What your embassy needs changes per embassy. You can count on them wanting at least several pictures (Netherlands wants 4 for the medical and 2 for the interview) an original and a copy of his birth certificate and his divorce decree (if he was previously married), and a police certificate of all the countries he lived in for at least 6 months incl his home country but excluding the US.

You can ask around Europe  part of the forum to see if there's other Swedish people that have been through the embassy recently. Maybe they will share their P3 with you.

Hi Nikk, @Itsnikk

I also will be applying from Stockholm (I am a March-filer).

https://se.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/family-based-immigration/the-interview/

They say that they send you an interview checklist, but you can also find checklists online and instructions on the US government side.

I already arranged all my police certificates (I have lived in 5 different countries, so I knew this was going to take quite some time, but the Swedish one goes actually really fast).

Here is a link where you find the instructions for documents per Country:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Sweden.html

You can also find instructions, on where to apply for which specific documents on this side and which documents they approve.

How long will it take you to schedule a medical exam and interview appointment in Stockholm? Are there long waiting times?

Would be interesting to hear how long the process will take for you :)

So keep me posted.

Best,

Anna
