I was able to view my case on the "old" site after I had to create a new password because my account was "inactive for too long" (I've been checking the app, not site). I tried to log in to the "new" site using the same info as the "old" site and I couldn't get in. :(

Am I suppose to create a new account on the "new" site or should I be able to get in with my log-in info from the "old" site?

Just an FYI to those who are calling USCIS to inquire about their cases - we weren't so lucky with how "helpful" the person on the other end was today. Our NOA1 date is January 10th (old site/paper NOA1) and January 12th (new site). My fiance (the petitioner) called and spoke to a lady who said that she can't give us any information until we reach 7 months of waiting and we are only at 6 months and a week. He then requested to speak to a Tier 2 person and they refused to transfer until we hit 7 months. I feel like saying something along the lines of - well your site says 5-7 months and the least you could do is provide us with an update on whether or not someone has even looked at it. He was at work so he didn't push anymore and couldn't wait on the phone again to get to a new person, but we'll try again tomorrow.

Has anyone else had issues like this? What did you end up saying to make them transfer you? This process is so frustrating - at least if things were going in order you could be a bit more patient but now I totally understand what it feels like to have an earlier NOA1 date than others getting approved and being frustrated with the system as much as you are happy for the people that are getting approved in January nonetheless. We're all in this together - but it feels like such a never ending uphill battle!

it is just me or are approvals slowing down a lot? :( we haven't had a rain of approvals and we are already on the 3rd week of July. The worst part is that we don't even have the scans anymore, right?

It FEELS like things are slowing down- the reality is we don't know
VJ is like 3% of all applications to USCIS so even if EVERYONE here updated their profiles (which many do not), we still don't know how much work USCIS is putting here.
but yes- timelines across ALL immigration (AOS, EAD/AP, ROC, Citizenship) have slowed down and am not sure if things will pick up anytime soon.

So I suggest focusing on other things- like how you and your fiance will adjust when you get to USA and how to prepare for the interview stage. You are VERY close to an approval. Just hang on tight. It's coming!

Also- you can do your own mini scans with the USCIS case tracker app. Just put in your WAC number/numbers around it and it will show you what the status is on the 500 cases around yours

This is common. Keep in mind, Tier I people CANNOT tell you what is happening with your case. They see what you see on the case tracking app.
So taking out your frustration on them does you no good

In terms of what to say to get transferred: there are no magic words. Sometimes they say they can't transfer you simply because there's just not enough Tier II people to transfer you to.
You are currently at about 185-188 days. 200 is a new norm (yes people get approval before then) but relax.

You are perhaps a few days/few weeks from approval!
Prepare for the next stage now so once approved, you can move on quickly!

As stated several times. Why u shouldn’t even bother calling till u reach day 210. Even better is wait till day 215. Cus a lot are being told at day 210 that there still with in normal processing time.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

To be fairly warned: that only covers the old site cases.  And, as I accidentally blundered into, using the App for such searches can lock down your IP for an indeterminate length of time, this means both the old AND new site (and the app itself) .

I'm pretty frustrated with the whole thing.  the new site takes over 6 minutes to load each step, times out randomly and doesn't always work.  Hoping they get the bugs worked out soon!

Good morning! Congratulations to all approvals. Looking at the thread - most likely ours will get approved August? Our NOA1's Jan30th and I saw some NOA1s dates were adjusted from 2-6 days.
