Janies,

Congratulations on all the approvals! I hope all of you get your approvals very soon.

I saw some of y'all asking about this whole "processing" times-

You ARE welcome to call USCIS everyday to check up on your case.
However, based on the experiences I have seen over the past year, I recommend you don't really bother until you at LEAST hit day 200. The reason being that if you call too early, you will get a Tier I agent that won't tell you what you don't already know or the normal "your case is processing- you are within processing times". Calling everyday also creates unwanted stress.

Rule #1 about this process: Don't make any plans until you have your visa in hand. USCIS does not care if you have a wedding or a funeral date to catch up to. So don't stress yourself out with dates that you can/cannot make.
Stay patient- all of you are closer to an approval than you were last month!
Always remember why you started this process and best of luck to all of you!

I’m on my 195 th today....Jan 4th....so hope mine is coming .

Ok try my best to not gonna check here anymore .It makes me nervous to see I don’t get approved since people on the same date like me do.Pray for all the Jan 4th filers!Wish we get NOA2 soon✊️✊️✊️✊️

I'm with you on that, my NOA1 is 1/4 but receive date is 12/29.  When i called on Monday she kept mentioning Dec 29 receive date.  that brings me to believe they go by that. i have 2 days left based on my estimated timeline, I'm not gonna get my hopes up but i will be very happy to hear something by Friday! this is our week!!!!!(being sarcastically hopeful)

Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between July 16, 2018 and July 20, 2018*.

That is only based on other vj memeber putting in there info. Has nothing to do with uscis. Must wait till out side normal processing time. With that said, if u look at uscis processing times it says 210 days/7 mo but wait till day 215. If u call to soon they will tell u what u already know. NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Oh i wasn't really following the VJ dates, I was being sarcastic. I only called Monday because someone with my dates called and got approved on the phone without any website updates, so i thought i was in the same situation. unfortunate i wasn't. so I continue to wait...

Hello everyone, so went onto the new website and found this. Such a relief, I hope everyone else gets approved too❤️

I have a rather silly question do I need to show the consulate an unabridged birth certificate or not.

Yes my fellow K1 visa applicant, you HAVE to get that marriage clearance because it proves you are free to marry .

Sigh. I have not gotten my NoA2 yet because my fiancé and I are February Filers, so I've just been researching to prepare in the mean time until it's our turn. And knowing the South African government, they tend to be unpredictable in their processing times for important documents, so go AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO gather those key documents dear one.

The marriage clearance is that for South African Citizens only?

I've never heard of having to do marriage clearence, I'm in UK. Also, I read that USCIS process applications in the order they receive them. Yet, according to the information people are sharing here, those whose 'notice date' (NOA1) was 10th January has been approved before those whose 'notice date' is 4th January.. What peope are not sharing on this is the office in which their petitions are being processed, that makes a difference as far as I know?...

Well , I read previous south African reviews of their interviews and K1 processes and they ALL had a marriage clearance. So I think everyone should just research the general requirements, but you have to prove you're free to marry.

But please, if it's not required of you don't panic

Virtually all K-1s are processed at the same office (the ones not processed in California are cases involving criminal records or waivers, so even if Vermont looks faster, you don't want to be there).

They are not processed strictly in sequential order, but are approximately (virtually all cases being approved right now are December or January filers; I expect at least some June filers will be ahead of me, as I'm from the very end of May). No one has been able to figure out any pattern to the exact ordering; it's likely there isn't one.

Yes, usually the service center makes a diffrence. E.i.: VSC is on March '18, CSC is on January '18, and TSC is at the VERY end of December '17. Then again, sometimes they do tend to skip around sometimes. Some get approved way quicker than others with no real reason tbh.
