When did you apply for it ? Try check by the 4th week of not getting it, go directly to the office to collect it . However the home affairs website says they may take 6- 8 weeks for an unabridged birth certificate, but they may be just saying that so they have ample time to do it , my police certificate took about 3 weeks, my marriage clearance document took about 2 weeks , and they had estimated longer.

I applied for the unabridged certificate last week Monday, and they said they would SMS when ready, but I am going to check for it by the 4th week even if I don't get an sms

Hello everyone, so went onto the new website and found this. Such a relief, I hope everyone else gets approved too❤️

I have a rather silly question do I need to show the consulate an unabridged birth certificate or not.

No I’m a January filer, the old website said the 5th of January and the new website said the 9th of January. The notice on my NOA1 is the 10th of January. So I’m a January filer.

@madameMasion I applied for my certicate on the 03-7-2018 and do I got to home affairs for a marriage clearance?

In the spirit of communication, saw a January 18th approval today. The applicant said she submitted a case inquiry which is one of the options on the new website and the inquiry came back that her case was approved.

where is this on the new site?

Yes my fellow K1 visa applicant, you HAVE to get that marriage clearance because it proves you are free to marry .

Sigh. I have not gotten my NoA2 yet because my fiancé and I are February Filers, so I've just been researching to prepare in the mean time until it's our turn. And knowing the South African government, they tend to be unpredictable in their processing times for important documents, so go AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO gather those key documents dear one.
