In the spirit of communication, saw a January 18th approval today. The applicant said she submitted a case inquiry which is one of the options on the new website and the inquiry came back that her case was approved.

Hey guys,

I have a quick question. My fiancee called USCIS today at around 7 PM Eastern time. But the machine told her to call back between 10-6. But what doesn't make sense is that in Pacific time it was only 4 PM. So can anyone explain to me what the deal is lol. Doesn't USCIS go by Pacific time?

When you call you get connected to a call center, not necessarily the California Service center

Hi My Friend,

i am in the lovely state of Oregon - Portland is my city. Beautiful city, where are you?

I have been changing things in anticipation of my fiance. i know women love clothes and shoes, so i built in another closet for her, just need to paint it, added in two shoe closets too. i will be working on the backyard to make it look more like  her previous home, so she wont miss home too much. It has just been too hot to work outside. So i continue to work inside. i will be repainting the living ceiling this weekend because I had a water leak and now that it is fixed, i couldnt find the exact same paint os i have to paint the entire living room ceiling and i want to do it before she gets here. just want things to be almost perfect for her.

Oregon that is interesting... I am in Chicago sounds like u are doing a good job of keeping busy I have been busy buying hygiene things like body wash and deodorant stocking it on his side of the bathroom vanity me too I want to make sure my baby is comfortable

Wait until you are outside of the normal processing time as per the instructions on their website, or else they will just tell you that you are within normal processing time and to call back later. You can create an account if you haven't at https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ to see when that date is.

We have our NOA1 already.  I’m sorry I should have been more specific.  When is it a good time to follow up for NOA2?

I filed on January 9th (Jan 16th on the new website), and our timeline for the wedding is pretty tight.  What option should I pick on the case inquiry?  I don't think I'm outside the normal processing time yet, and I don't know of any cards, notices, or documents that haven't arrived yet.

June 2016: We started writing to each other

June-July 2017: Met in person in the US for our first anniversary

December 2017 - January 2018: Met again in the US and got engaged

01/09/2018: I-129F sent to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox via FedEx

01/16/2018: Received NOA1 (NOA1 notice date: 01/11/2018)

June-July 2018: Met in person in Singapore and Australia for our second anniversary

08/03/2018: Notice date on our NOA2 (updated in USCIS's new website on August 6)

08/15/2018: Our case reached NVC

08/22/2018: Received NVC case number

09/04/2018: Our package left NVC (arrived 9/11, and she sent packet 3 that day)

09/20/2018: Received packet 4; scheduled interview

10/30/2018: Interview - told that we're approved!  Now waiting to receive the visa...
11/27/2018: Port of Entry at BWI

12/1/2018: Our wedding!

12/8/2018: Filed AoS on the way to our honeymoon (12/8-15/2018)
6/~7/2019: EAD and AP approved
09/25/2019: AOS interview in Orlando -- approval and green card!

Next step, June 2019: Filing I-751

Note: My wife is a Singaporean.  She moved to Australia before we met and got permanent residency there.
