i checked the Visa Journey guides and i could not find a cover letter for such. you might need to type one up if you need it.

Thank you so much. I have the original cover letter I included in my packet. I am just trying to figure out if I alter that one with the new information, or if I need to create a second packet with all of the new info in it.

Not that I know but the second packet doesn’t need a cover letter it’s just going to your fiancé so they have that info. I don’t know what’s going on in the interview part but they might ask your fiancé for specific papers and your fiancé will give it to them. So I don’t think there is a need for cover letter unless it is for you to help guide your fiancé with what is for what

So, since I’m new to this site, I was wondering if it has happened before where the applications are accepted really slow in a certain month? What are the other months normally like in comparison? Our date is the 10th of January (old site) and the 13th(new site). Just hoping and praying we all hearing something back soon about our January applications!

Hi Everyone, we all need to breathe and relax. Dont get all worked up now that you are near the finish line. This should be a time of excitement and anticipation because we are so near to the the end, not frustration or anxiety levels going high. To get all worked up now, will only do more harm than good, let those emotions go and try to channel that energy to positive thoughts.

For those of us who are the petitioners, we should really focus on gathering and putting together all their documents we will need to send to our beneficiaries once approved and if you have completed that then start planning on preparing your house and space for your fiance. create a list of things you would like you and your fiance to accomplish with the first month, 6 months, 1 Year. we have a lot to do to get our beneficiaries accustomed to live in the USA and to make them comfortable. Remember, it is not easy to learn new ways and new customs as a adult when we are already set in our ways.

For the beneficiaries, this should be the time to enjoy the company of those you will leaving behind and who know when next you will see them again. there are things you can be doing now as well, getting your police report, getting your medical immunization up to date, getting your documents ready for the final stage, planning what you will do with all the things you have accumulated (Would you be able to move everything to america or what do you have to sell off or give away). you should also be researching about american history and culture, try to learn all you can, so your transition when you get here will be easier for you because it has been frustrating for some. I would suggest put together a list of things you would like to do or accomplish within your  first month, 6 months, 1 Year and discuss with your fiance.

we have alot to do between now and POE, lets use our time wisely to maximize chances for a successful fiance visa process and success marriage life. Just thought i share what i am and will be doing with my fiance. Hope this helps.

Hello there, 100% with you, I believe for some of us beneficiaries the waiting is dreadful, but: from the beginning we all here knew how long the process will take, we are all different and handle anxiety in a different way, I got anxious of course, but when I am well aware that I have no control over things like this I try to put it on the side of my brain and think about other thinks.

Forums like this are great, but for what I have read I think it puts more stress to people. As I said, I strongly agree with Deehotstepper, those are the things we should be doing, preparing ourselves for the big change coming to our lives. And I am and april filer, still some months to go.

Thank you. I am kind of an organizational freak with this because I don't want to make any mistakes. If there is no guideline then I am cool. I have visited about 4 times since we started the process and I just want everything to be accurate so there are no delays! :)

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Jan 4 received date: old and new site.

Received an E-mail tonight it says:

I tried logging in to the new uscis website to check the status, however i forgot my password and security questions that’s why they locked my account. Does getting an account locked affect our application?

also tried calling uscis to update but i can’t get a live rep since it’s too early in the US.

Praying and hoping for us janubies to get our approvals right away! 🙏🏻

Doubt that getting locked out of your account affects your case.  The sign in process is VERY picky.  It won't accept anything not typed (as in predictive), is case sensitive, and works about half the time.  I'd try again.

Hey guys,

I have a quick question. My fiancee called USCIS today at around 7 PM Eastern time. But the machine told her to call back between 10-6. But what doesn't make sense is that in Pacific time it was only 4 PM. So can anyone explain to me what the deal is lol. Doesn't USCIS go by Pacific time?

When would be an appropriate time to call USCIS to follow-up on the status of application?

Wait until you are outside of the normal processing time as per the instructions on their website, or else they will just tell you that you are within normal processing time and to call back later. You can create an account if you haven't at https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ to see when that date is.

I believe it's based on local time of the location for the area code you call from.

Yes it happened before.

Same thing goes for December Filers. Not too much approvals for first and 2nd week of the month. Started raining approvals on the 3rd week all the way. If they are only updating the old website atleast we have some data to look at to, but as time goes by it is becoming obsolete.

Just make sure to check the new USCIS website and always check your mail for any update. :)
