Based on my search on VJ, those who will reside in California have two options. Apply one before getting EAD/AP as long as I-94 is still valid for at least 60 days and then renew the DL in three months or apply after I get EAD/AP and use my old DL from my home country until then. @I.Kat, can you chime in? I will have to check if my fiance can include me in his auto insurance too.

One thing I will surely miss is speaking in my native language or having someone to speak with. My fiance has been trying to learn Bahasa Indonesia and I promised to teach him more seriously once I move there. His mom helped me to connect with her Indonesian friend to help me feel at home too. We've visited some Asian market around here to find some ingredients for making some Indonesian food.

I'm curious, why Cadbury tastes different from one country to another? I like the one from Australia and Rocklea Road from Darrell Lee certainly is my favorite! 😄

@I.Kat, we're lucky we can visit our fiancees during the process. I couldn't stay longer than three weeks because of my work obligations. We once drove to Sacramento and we could keep driving to Reno and I blurted out, let's get married now! I'm glad my fiance didn't listen to me because I wouldn't have had an opportunity to say goodbye to everyone here properly and finishing things up before I move.

I agree the hardest part is leaving our family and friends behind. To me the people, the food, the smell and the language are things that give me the sense of home and familiarity. Thanks God, we have internet to stay in touch with each other and FH are very understanding. I'm certainly going to need him the most for a couple first months here. Anyway do you have any plan on how to kill time during AOS? 😊

I have absolutely no idea how I am going to do stuff after POE :jest:I am completely lost as far anything outside i-129f :jest: My strategy is "worry about a single problem at once" to don't go crazy (not working so far😂). I think my case is still going to be a little bit different... I lived in the US for two years on my J1 visa, so I have I94, SSN and one expired DL from Georgia 🙈 I guess I will use an international DL from my country which is valid for 6 months, that would be good enough before getting their DL. And as far as killing time before AOS or rather EAD, I think I am going to go back to volunteering at a local food bank - it is just an amazing way how to meet some people and feel some sense of belonging and community ^_^

It is so cool you will be in touch with someone from your country, that is is going to be a huge help from the beginning, I bet!

today I went to the new page of uscis and it only made me despair more because in the old one it says that my no1 is the 29 of December and in the new one it says that the 1 of February. Does that mean that I belong to the month of February?

Call and have then fix it.  They probably meant to type january 2 and typed february 1.  1/2 versus 2/1.  They add 5 days normally from old web site to new website for some people.  Not sure why.

Thinking that as a result of the new website and its login proceedure, the various apps that are out there aren't going to be able to give accurate results.

The new site isn't running 100 percent either, some of the features aren't yet working.

   Glad to see some approvals.

Probably overpreparing for the embassy meeting, but I went through and documented all assets for use as sponsor.  We should easily make the grade, despite my income being below the FPL (and my constant worry!)

Now if we could just get an approval before I fly out (baby is due!), that would be dandy.

   Good luck to all.

Can i ask anyone, why eachtime i login to the new website it always requires and sending one time code? My fiancee fon always recieve a mssg for that code?

It’s a two step security verification. It is a requirement so unfortunately we have to do it.

It's their new security measure that was just implemented. No way of getting around it.

You can be in any group you would like it really doesn't matter. So if you want to be in December or January it's fine.

Remember most people are posting things from the new website so those Jan 12 Jan 11 are people who were received dates from the first week originally. Apart from that the first couple of approvals have been from the first week and they mostly never go in strict order. They might do Jan 8 before Jan 6 or 7 but will generally stick to the first week and second week and then move on. They don't seem to be skipping around like they did in November for January.

Most of us approved last week i believe were Jan 9,10,11 and12 received dates from the new site. My original received date from old site is Jan 9 so it's just 2 days apart. So i'm not certain that they did start on that week rather than the first week but it seems like it. Also my Fiancé is a military member and one other approved also mentioned their Fiancé is as well. I'm not sure if that's a factor tho.. But i'm sure those who posted their approval were in the range of Jan 9-12. I pray they generate more approvals this week with us January Filers. I know how stressful the wait is from the time of filing up to this elusive NOA 2. Keep the faith guys! We will all get there.
