Please dont feel i am pointing you out or anyone in particular. We know they have started January, its just slow in how they update the new system lately plus not really utilizing the old system much anymore, leaves us kinda blind to what they are doing or where exactly in a month, they are. Thats why it is even more important for users to post their approvals so we can have a slight clue. I also don believe they started in the middle like November, i think maybe we have not seen much other early January approvals because the system is down and wont be back up until next week. then there might be a flood of system updates of approvals.

I think you are right my friend! lets keep the faith and hope they start moving for us Janubees! lol I have gotten in the routine to make sure I check my Informed Delivery and the new website once a day......

@Snuffles what would you miss the most from Aussie that you wouldn't find in Ohio?

I'm lucky I still get some ingredients from Asian market to make some Indonesian food. What would you do during AOS? I heard the process is getting longer and longer and getting EAD/AP could take 6 months!

To be honest I'm not worried about getting NOA2. Our time will come soon. But we still have a long way after POE til getting GC. I'm thinking of doing yoga everyday, start planting some veggies and maybe raising some chicken so we will get fresh eggs even though i don't think my fiance and our landlord would approve hahaha. We live in a quiet village 1 hour drive from the city of San Francisco. So I will have to adjust to a more slow life which is very different from my current life as a big city girl! My biggest challenge will be driving from the right side of the road. Have you checked how long do you have to wait til you can get a DL in your state?

Very good questions. I'm not sure of anything 'Ohio' specific that isn't in Australia. But this is what I will miss:

Cadbury chocolate, chicken salt, sitting outside in the sun at lunch in the *middle* of winter (you can't do that in Ohio LOL. Way too frosty), so I know we get spoilt in Winter, at least where I live. I'll miss the bird sounds, we have such unique birds here. Other foods like crumpets. Our other animals, Koalas and Kangaroos. Where I grew up, you'd see Koalas in your trees in your backyard- so, so cool.

We do have a long time until the GC. I'm not too worried about spending my time. I have writing projects I can focus on, books to catch up on, craft/homey projects I could look for on Pinterest :) But I'm not too sure what Ohio laws are re: DL. I tried looking it up but I'm keen to find out because I did assume we could get one pretty soon after arriving in America but I didn't realise each State had it's own laws :/

A veggie patch is super fun! And driving on the other side permanently will take getting used to, but it's not too bad. Especially if you're going to a more quiet area :) How long until you can get a DL?
