What are the odds that processing time will go down? I see that some July petitioners are getting their NOA2 now. That's a 7-8 month wait lol does anyone believe it have any indicators that this might go down to 5-6 months or something ?

Maybe they will get speedy in their processing now that holiday season is over?

VJ is estimating that I get my NOA2 around August 1st, but I'm really hopefully that we all get outs in June. Just trying to stay positive :)

It's actually closer to 6 months-7 months. No one has gotten to 8 months yet. July applications will be turning 7 months in february.

Also guys, informed delivery tells me that my NOA1 hard copy arrives today! It seems they sent a nice batch of documents a couple of days ago because some July filers have received NOA2 through the mail today. Also, related questions: the form only asked you to put biograhical info (as in hair color, weight, etc) for the petitioner, right?

Also, I'm wondering about something regarding the I-134 since I want to start preparing for that. Except, I'm having a bit of trouble ( @Naes maybe you know of something??). I'm currently in my senior year of college and have been working the same part time jobs in two language departments--but I know that overall I'm not making more than 4,000 a year in income so I haven't had to file taxes (my parents are co-sponsoring). Anyways, I was wondering what I needed to include for the supporting documents since I know that (even if you're using a cosponsor) the petitioner has to send in proof of income/lack of income as well?

Another question: for my jobs I've always signed contracts with the specific language departments I work for in college. So when I wrote my job history on the I-129F I put the specific departments as my employers. However, I just got the W-2 for 2017 and notice that the employer in the W-2 shows up as Trustees of ___ College (duh, as the college is the one who is paying me). I was wondering if that was going to be an issue for when the I-134 rolls around...

How can I explain the fact that the departments are the ones who hired me but the employer shows up as the college because it's college funds that are paying me? Sorry for the long question, but now I'm worried about this becoming a problem.

1) Yay on NOA1 hard copy! My Fiance is at work, so he won't find out until later! :(

2) We put bio info for the petitioner, I don't remember putting my info on the form.

3) Not sure on the I-134, but hopefully someone else knows!

I'm counting July as a month already. So people who receive their NOA2 this months and next month, will have waited 7 and 8 months, respectively.

There are a few over 8 months but they are anomalies.  We are at day 234 (7 months 20 days) and there are filers waiting longer than us.  There are filers from May who are at 8 months and 9 days today.

Please don't let that worry you.  May and June were very strange months following the re-prioritization in late April.  Things will be easier for you but go into this with open eyes and a warm heart.  6 to 7 months is a great estimate and while we are hitting 8 months, I do not believe you guys will.

I got my NOA1 in the mail today.  NOA1 date: January 17, 2018.  VJ's timeline is telling me that we should expect our I-129F to be adjudicated between August 3-7.  That sounds like a long wait.  I hope we can get married before next winter.

June 2016: We started writing to each other

June-July 2017: Met in person in the US for our first anniversary

December 2017 - January 2018: Met again in the US and got engaged

01/09/2018: I-129F sent to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox via FedEx

01/16/2018: Received NOA1 (NOA1 notice date: 01/11/2018)

June-July 2018: Met in person in Singapore and Australia for our second anniversary

08/03/2018: Notice date on our NOA2 (updated in USCIS's new website on August 6)

08/15/2018: Our case reached NVC

08/22/2018: Received NVC case number

09/04/2018: Our package left NVC (arrived 9/11, and she sent packet 3 that day)

09/20/2018: Received packet 4; scheduled interview

10/30/2018: Interview - told that we're approved!  Now waiting to receive the visa...
11/27/2018: Port of Entry at BWI

12/1/2018: Our wedding!

12/8/2018: Filed AoS on the way to our honeymoon (12/8-15/2018)
6/~7/2019: EAD and AP approved
09/25/2019: AOS interview in Orlando -- approval and green card!

Next step, June 2019: Filing I-751

Note: My wife is a Singaporean.  She moved to Australia before we met and got permanent residency there.

Just use the actual received date.  Don't make this seem harder than it already is.  As it gets closer the days are counted and not the months.  So early and late July filers are separated by days and not a month.  It will make it easier as you get closer to NOA2.

Today is Day 9 for you, not one month.  As this journey goes on the days are tracked in scans and reports (if someone here will run them).  I am at Day 234.  June 6 filer.  You should not come anywhere near this number.  I am hoping January gets back to the 160 to 180 day range.

Good luck to all!

Don't be surprised if you see NOA2 in July.  Dont put too much faith in the VJ timeline (or USCIS online, either).  My VJ timeline says December 25, 2017... LOL  and it is still being updated.

You guys should have it easier than us old timers.  Don't let what you hear over in May, June and July scare you.  We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yes, I know @John & Rose which is what I was saying. Hopefully it goes like this! I'm sorry you have had to wait so long! I keep hoping to see your approval soon. I am preparing for the worst and hoping for the best in my case! We are expecting our wedding date to be Dec. 15--which takes into account this process being 11 months long at the maximum for us (again hopefully).

Also THANK YOU for coming by to our thread and giving us some hopeful words to stand by.

I know it will happen.  I just don't want later filers to get discouraged.  We really are an anomaly and USCIS is working to fix itself.  I hope the January filers start seeing numbers under 6 months.

Thank you so much <3 I hope so too! I haven't dared to hope yet that he'll be here sooner than late October. But I hope so. Also, how do I go about becoming a scanner for the later months? I would really like to be involved.
