What's the reason for VJ to go by the notice date?

I'm guessing, but I think all the scan processes were developed outside of vj.  When vj setup the timelines, I think it would be logical to use the notice date.  Then outside developers tried to automate the process, the only date available is the "received date" that is returned when a case status is requested.

My date but not my approval unfortunately. You would have seen much bigger excitement from me, trust me 😂😊

Do they work on wednesday? Everyday this time I already see some approved cases coming by

LOL
yes- USCIS works everyday except holidays.

For approved cases- it's not unusual to see them approve a lot of cases the day before (in this instance Tuesday) and then upload those approvals on their system the following morning (Wednesday).
they are working- very slowly, but they are working.

Stay patient. Your approval will hopefully be coming soon!

The 800 number that we call to inquire about our petition, where is that number based out of? That is, where (state) is the center located, just so I can know what time of day to call in my local time. Would it be California?

Yeah, that's what I was referring to. Well that's good then. My fiancee is in Massachusetts so she's 3 hours ahead of the Pacific time. So she was plenty of time to call after she gets out of work lol

ough!!!! I was just in the November forum and quite a bit of people in there are still waiting, even one person from Nov 1 :o(which i hope they hear soon:unsure:) and here we are worrying why we haven't heard anything lol.  It's also insane how many RFE there are for December already. those RFE always come first, so that will slow them down since they are reviewing these cases twice so more time wasted.

I think avoiding an RFE will speed up processing in the future perhaps? that's just my thoughts, maybe we can help future applicants in avoiding RFEs.

I don't see a point in calling USCIS before the inquiry posted on their website. But when it's passed the inquiry date, then you have a good reason to call and complain. And in the case of the November filers that still have not been approved, then they should even contact their state congress representative so they can get answers from USCIS as to why it hasn't been approved.

I feel like when a case takes long, such as in the November filers that you mentioned, that they misplaced the cases or literally left them behind to be worked on another day when they're "less" busy or when someone complains. Just my two cents lol

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

If they at least got an RFE and just waiting on that then understandable. otherwise they are not gonna see any activity. like you said, their case might be misplaced.

I'm sure those are RFE they are waiting.  Their cases have been touched by now for sure. The website says working on Dec 13, i think that means they touched all cases before that date. not necessarily approved but touched

I wouldn’t count on that. That’s why complaining when they are technically still in or starting ur month is annoying. Not say u r but, a lot do and have.

Remember, there’s always some one worse off then u. Try to stay positive and keep the end goal in mind. It’s all we can do.

To be honest, we really dont know the whole story, we only know what we have heard from the applicant, it is also possible it could be user error (rfe, Dishonesty, not meeting the requirements, incorrect paperwork or case filed etc)  as to why some are still waiting.
