The only relevance of the "new" website date is so you can submit an inquiry if you are outside of the processing window. The two dates that are the most useful to report are your receipt date (what USCIS goes by) and your notice date (what VJ uses).

I keep getting similar case updates on the app, but all of them are from the Philippines or Thailand ( December Filers), in that order. So i'm guessing that is where most K-1 visa applications are from. That being said, are petitions from those countries analyzed with more scrutiny in order to prevent marriage fraud or is it analyzed normally, just out of curiosity, its not my case.

There isn't much in the way of "problems" with those two country's. With the exception of human trafficking. So they watch that very closely but it tends not to slow their processing times. Interesting article below.

A closer look at data from the Department of State reveals that a stunning 18% of the fiancée visas issued last year — that’s a total of 6,926 — went to citizens from one country, the Philippines. The second and third place countries, the Dominican Republic and Vietnam, each accounted for only about 1,900 fiancées.

If the fiancée has any children under the age of 21, they may also travel as derivatives on a K-2 visa. An even higher rate — over 24% of these minors — are from the Philippines, according to the 2016 data.

After going through my usual morning reading (meaning December and January thread), I realized that IT CAN ACTUALLY HAPPEN NOW! Every time I checked the USCIS website before, I knew that it was very unlikely to get approved yet. But checking today was incredibly nerve-wracking and painful for my stomach. I mean, our case is still received, but just the POSSIBILITY...!!! We are closer again, you guys! 😍
