Go by the receipt date on your NOA1. Technically you're a December filer, but it's good to see they are hitting the end of the month and will hopefully start January any day now!

So i have a random question, i've been looking at some sample interview questions and some of them are crazy, I don't think i would even know the answers to them and they're about me! So my question is where do they get the answers to the questions? is it based off our application or do they search everything and anything about me and to find the answers? For example

What does he/she do when they’re at home – when they are NOT at work?

What is his/her favorite sports team?

and there's more but how would they (consulate) know the answers to these without me telling them?

I-129F Submitted: 16 January 2018 NOA1 Received: 26 January 2018 NOA2 Received: 02 August 2018 | NVC Received: 16 August 2018 | Consulate Received: 07  SEP 2018 | Medical: 24 SEP 2018 | Interview: 28 SEP 2018 | VISA in Hand: 23 OCT 2018 | POE: 10 NOV 2018 :joy:

random sample questions off the internet could be anything. for a more realistic idea of what the questions at your particular consulate are, id visit the review section for that consulate.

montreal doesnt ask that much (mainly where your fiance works, what do they do for a living, where the parents live, stuff like that), but i also dont worry about it, as he knows pretty much everything about me anyways and we're together all the time lolol

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

I do visit the review section for our consulate but unfortunately there's not much on there for ours. He knows pretty much everything as well but i guess im just over thinking and worrying a bit much lol.

The whole idea is that they are asking questions to see how much your fiancé(e) has knowledge about you. This is to determine if you have a genuine relationship or not. If h/s can't answer question that should be common knowledge from a couple then a red flag goes up in the CO's mind. If there are number of relationship questions with the same response or in this case negative response (I don't know) further causes additional questioning. Using common sense tells one which question would be in the paperwork you submitted but those that ask "what h/h favorite baseball team" should be answered with any team or your hometown team would be advisable, but there is no way the CO would know what your answer would be. So know the relationship answers first and foremost.

Here are some sample questions.

What is the name of your fiancé/e?

Where did you meet?

When did you meet?

How did you meet?

When are you planning to get married?

What is your fiancé/es work?

Have you gone out of the country?

How long were you out of the country?

How many times has your fiancé/e visited you?

Where did you go when your fiancé/e visited you?

Do you plan to have kids?

Where do you plan on staying in the US?

These are some of the questions but rest assure that all the questions will be about the petitioner, the beneficiary, and the relationship. Always tell the truth even if the truth is "I don't know". Don't rush in answering and give a straightforward answer. Look the CO in the eye when answering and smile. Don't give a novel as your answer. Just brief and concise. Don't volunteer any information unless asked, this could send you down the wrong road.

Don't forget to ask if you passed.

The date u received ur hard copy off NOA1 is ur actual receive do date. But, when Uscis starting using new site they added 5 days to everyone’s case. With that said, if u  happen to get outs of normal processing time u must use the new site so date or they will tell u that’s ur still with in normal processing time.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1
