Thank you.   I think I made a mistake, I was in the military for 23 years and on the question “have you ever lived in another country “ I typed in 2 countries I was stationed in for an extended period of time.  However,  technically I didn’t live there, I was stationed there due to my military service.  I think it’s best I clear that up.  Do you think that is the correct method to correct?  The link you provided?  Thank you

Yes you can use that link. Be sure to spell out all locations that you didn't include on your original submission. Also, add it to your DS-160. If you are the beneficiary make sure you get police clearance's for each place you have lived for more than 6 months since the age of 16 to be used at the interview.

No, petitioner.  What I’m saying is those countries should not be listed because I didn’t technically live there because I was in the U.S military and stationed there for military necessity, not living there ate choice

USCIS and the Embassy want to know each and every "address" you lived at. It's better to error on the side of too much then to be disqualified for not enough information. Let the "experts" make that decision. Honestly is the best policy. I wouldn't necessary bring something up that was not asked for but I believe listing an address is important if it fits the narrative.

No I think you are confused.  On the 129f it asks “list any other countries you have lived “  doesn’t ask for addresses only countries

How about playing along and substitute "addresses" with "countries", then my answer is more inline with what you were looking for. The common denominator here is that you list what they are asking for. If it gives you a period of time that you must list the country's then follow that. I think you are over thinking this. I've given you my opinion, now it's up to you to do what is best for you.

Just send the letter and explain there to them any mistake you made. it is easier to send a letter to an officer rather then to send information through a link if you aren't sure if they will understand what you are trying to correct.

Hello house, I've been a quiet follower of both December and January filers because in all honesty, I don't know where we belong.

My fiancee submitted our petition on 29th December and we got our NO1 on January 4th.

Please, are we December or January filers?

well see the issue is, it does not seem to be a form to change a foreign address...it requires that you enter the state within the address. Of course, this is not how foreign addresses work.

You can be whom ever you want. There are "no rules" where you should be. In fact, you can follow along and opine in either. Glad to have you here with us.

My NOA1 is actually Dec. 29th.  But I started this thread thinking it would be Jan. 1 NOA1.  Hope my good luck continues and get NOA2 in 2 weeks. ;-)

Rejections happen basically immediately when you first submitted the application. Rejections are for things like: Didn't pay the right money, didn't use the right form, didn't sign the form, etc....

So as long as you got NOA1 / Case Received, your case was not rejected. And then it just waits until they adjudicate it or you withdraw it.

I've seen very very few denials at this USCIS stage, and i suspect they come from things like bad background checks or people who could not overcome an RFE / didn't meet the 2 year requirement. I've seen less than 1% of these I think, I can look at the stats I have tonight. So it seems for the most part, almost everyone has their case approved eventually.  Most of the denials seem to happen at the embassy stage, if it's going to be denied for one reason or another and at that point it is usually because they don't think the relationship is real, or something else about the beneficiary the CO doesn't like (based on my gut feeling of what I read on here over the last year).
