Hoping for approval that would land interview while I'm visiting for my birthday! That would be the best birthday gift! If I received NOA2 Aug. 7th, by yalls guess how long would it take to get to the Philippines and get approval to schedule interview? TIA!

Question: Fiance recently moved. Do I need to change his address with USCIS or it is only my mailing address that matters? The address change portion on their website is rather confusing.

Thank you <3

You have a NOA2 from Aug 7 of 2017??? Doesn't seem right. You should have had your visa by now. Tell us a little more of what is going on. Maybe I can help.

Do you think one of the reasons for the slow down was the zero tolerance border policy? I heard a story on the news that they were having to divert CBP resources from the ports of San Diego and Los Angeles to deal with the influx of immigration processing at the border. Now that CBP is no longer separating families at the borders hopefully things will go back to the way they were before and the processing speeds will pick up.

CBP has nothing to do with the flow and ebb of visa approvals. The amount of work and the change in office policy has the largest impact.

IN REGARDS TO WHICH DATE TO USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

noa1 date is actually they date on ur hard copy. Sadly if u reach the magical 220 day u must wait till 225 to contact Uscis. They use what the new site says. Even if ur paper says X date.

They added 5 days onto everyone’s accepted on NOA1

Rereading it I have to agree with you. That was driving me . I guess I would say 2-4 weeks after NOA2 might be a educated guess but things can change on a dime around here.

IMHO I don’t think that has anything to do with it.  DHS has had fluctuating times from less than 30 days to 250 days as all within normal processing times for completing i129f noa1 to noa2 over the years. I believe that there has been an increase in the number of visa apps across the board for all visa types and there are more petitions coming in then what adjusticators can keep the pace with.  We are at the tail end of this though. I just hit day 170 today.

Thank you for your thoughts it great to have other people's input. I agree with your assessment. I just feel overwhelmed sometimes watching the news.

A website about K1s pointed out that in 2015 one of the San Bernardino shooters was admitted into America on a K1 visa, which explains very clearly why there is a "slow down"

Sadly all it takes is one person to ruin in for the rest of us.

Alright guys...it seems that we are on our own now. No more scans and no more knowing what dates they are working on!! :(

But at least we got far....we know they are on December 20. Let's hope that they are working on all the 20's this week and that they start January next week. We won't really know until someone posts about their approvals... this is making me anxious!!! Also, they worked on my case on June 25 because I had sent a letter to them on June 20 with some information. I had forgotten to answer a question on my application and did not want to wait to get an RFE, so I sent them a letter with the correction and according to the old website my inquiry was assigned and completed by an officer on the 25th. It also says they sent me a response, so I am waiting on that.

Lets hope to see January approvals soon!! <3
